“Renaissance”
A beautiful hotel in a great location. Excellent service, very comfortable rooms. Gym and lobby bar are very nice as well.
“Best of Both”
Along with being among the best hotels in Chicago for comfort and service, the location of this hotel is ideal for combining business and pleasure. It is a comfortable walk to both business in the financial area of the loop and restaurants/shopping around Michigan Avenue. I always choose this hotel when it is available in a flight/hotel package.
“Great location, beautiful hotel”
The hotel was in the theatre district of Chicago. Just one block off of the magnifecent mile and right along the river. It was perfect for sightseeing all the major spots of the town! The hotel itself was beautiful!
“Transformers 3”
We had a great weekend stay at the Renaissance. A great view of the Chicago River and the Trump Tower made it special. Hotel staff was very responsive and the hotel was very clean. Elegant surroundings was the norm throughout the hotel. The kids were unexpectedly treated to the taping on the next block of the new Transformers 3 movie. We were lucky to be staying in this hotel while that filming was occurring.
“Excellent hotel in the middle of everything”
Great hotel and location.
“great location, adult atmosphere”
this was a very good experience. I was traveling w/ my 16 month old daughter and the hotel staff was very helpful arrainging a crib. the hotel had a very nice adult atmosphere but not stuffy. Our objective was to shop and have lunch at the Walnut Room in Macy's and this was just around the corner. i would stay here again based on my experience with the service, cleanliness and the location. It is a short walk to the watertower area from here if that is your destination. Get a room w/ a view of the river, it is across from the "corn cob" appartment buildings.
“Luxurious, comfortable and quiet”
The staff were very efficient and friendly. The workout room has sunlight from exterior windows with modern equipment and free newspapers. There is a pool and jacuzzi in a downtown hotel. Rooms were quiet, despite construction across the street and being on a main thoroughfare. Less than one block from the train it was very convenient to the airport and my appointments. It is on the river right in the theater district and I had a great view of Chicago fr0om the room.
“Nice Place”
within walking distance to many attractions
“Everything you could want”
The hotel had everything I could want. It's located close to prime destinations in the city. The restaurant offers a wonderful breakfast (including buffet) and other meals, with a relaxed and bright ambiance, and a view of the river. Staff is efficient and polished. Rooms are large, very clean, well appointed and modern, with flat screen TVs and very comfortable beds. Too bad they don't offer free internet ($15 per day). The fitness room is very adequate and well though-out (for a hotel), with free weights and an edited selection of machines that address primary muscle groups, plus several cardio machines. The ambience in the main lounge is very nice, though it would have been nicer had there been someone to play its grand piano. Try to ask for a room away from the L tracks. In my room, the noise was not intolerable, more like a strong HVAC going on and off, but better to stay away from it if you can.
“Renaissance Chicago”
Would really have to stretch to complain about anything. Can't review the restaurants as we ate elsewhere, but did have delightful conversation with the young food services director at the bar. Believe he represents all staff as they were very helpful and courteous. And the hotel is in a great location to reach all attractions, so we would recommend this hotel highly.
