"Quintessential Irish Hospitality"
From our window we could look out over stone walls to the Atlantic Ocean. The food and the graciousness of the staff were better than 5 star. There is much ruggedly beautiful scenery in the area. The other guests were interesting and friendly.

"Brilliant customer service"
Just got back from 3 nights at the Clifden Station House, the hotel is modern and the facilities are all very good. We used the pool every day and it was warm enough for my two year old daughter, the rooms were clean and the hotel food very good especially the breakfast. It's location is very good and there is ample on site parking. The difference between this and the vast majority of hotels I have stayed in is the staff, they are so helpful from small things to make your stay more enjoyable to making you breakfast to take with you as you are leaving before the breakfast opens.

"Comfortable, welcoming near to centre of Clifden"
Easy to find and ideally located. Just under 10 min walk to the centre (slightly uphill on way back) where there is a good selection of restaurants and bars. Very welcoming with tea and cake on arrival, together with local information, latest 'what's on brochure' and menus for local eateries. Very clean and comfortable, and an excellent cooked to order breakfast with plenty of choice. Tea and coffee available in the guests lounge. Deserves its three star rating and would definitely stay there again.

"Beautiful setting - lovely staff"
The hotel is set in a beautiful location and the view from our bedroom was spectacular. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and most efficient. Breakfast was fabulous - all you could wish for, from full cooked to lighter varieties. Clifden is a small but busy town with some lovely bars and restaurants. All types of music with a leaning towards Irish, which we loved. The scenery is spectacular in the area and we highly recommend a visit to the Connemara National Park for some great walks and, again, very friendly helpful staff. After dinner, we would return to the hotel ( if not dining in ) and join the guests in the bar for a night of music, supplied by the very able variety of pianists for a sing-song. A great atmosphere, which is what you expect with the Irish!
