Great location and amazing breakfast.

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Great location if trying to see a lot in DFW. Lots of restaurants nearby and minutes from the airport.
Cons: Drinks, toothbrush and ibuprofen in gift shop were too expensive. Trash pickup inside and outside the hotel needs to happen. Room 325 smells smokey.
Location: Grapevine Mills mall nearby. Main St Grapevine and Las Colinas just minutes away. Easy to hop on any highway, beware of construction on FM 2499.
However. If there's a wedding going on or kids in the atrium area late or early - you can hear them from your room. Also, we arrived on the hotel grounds on a Friday and when we left on Monday, the same trash was outside on the ground in front of the side entrance and in the parking lot. Sludge came up out of the bar sink drain over a 24 hour period and it smelled - they came to clean it, but never offered us another room. Breakfast was really good.

Close to all grapevine attractions.

We had a great time, from the ease of check in to wonderful polite employees and the clean and nice room. I will say we had some loud neighbors but that's not the hotels fault, the walls are thin but hey that's a hotel. My kids were able to watch TV in the room with beds and my husband and I used the living areas. Nice escape. We used the pool and hottub in the evening. The pool was way cold but we sat in the hot tub. The evening reception was awesome and Sal was so nice. The complimentary breakfast was so yummy, nice spread of all kinds of breakfast treats. Will def be staying here again!

Can I get a wash cloth, please???

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Quiet rooms, decent room rate, free breakfast. Staff were polite.
Cons: Communications and/or training of housekeeping staff.
Location: Outlet mall, Bass Pro Shop; plenty of chain restaurants.
Our family of four booked two nights at the DFW/indoor/Outdoor World Embassy Suites. The room was fairly clean, but - there were some sticky spots on the carpet (ick) and the shower curtain was moldy. Both nights we had to request *multiple times* for the correct amount of towels for our family (3 bath towels and NO wash cloths for four people? Hmmm). Each time we asked for towels and/or wash cloths, we either received the wrong item (3 hand towels instead of 3 wash cloths; no bath towels when we needed at least one more, etc.). I think housekeeping needs additional training. The manager was helpful when I called to complain; however, we were lacking the correct towel sets the entire time we were there. Double beds are definitely "full size," not queen. We were grateful we could spread out and use the sleeper couch as an additional bed.

Great Hotel, Very Busy

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: breakfast, atrium/restaurant area/convenience to Grapevine attractions
Cons: Staff efforts to assure customer satisfaction, turn-up temperature in pool room, encourage church congregation to socialize away from main exit doors
Location: PLENTY to do, no issue there.
The staff was mostly helpful and cheerful. I would say it doesn't look good when you have multiple employees at or near the front desk, chatting (about what, I don't know) with no concern for customers waiting in line. Sure, they may be managers or designated personnel not helping customers, but then you need to hold those conversations somewhere away from the desk. Image is everything... The inside pool was generic. Pool temperature was cold and the pool room in general was too cold. The fitness facility looked pretty nice, for a hotel. The atrium/lobby/restaurant area were really nice and open. The breakfast area was extremely crowded in the morning. Here's my advice: if you want a hotel that is not going to be packed, don't come here. If you don't mind large crowds, it's a great place to stay. Embassy Suites, in general, are great places. I prefer the Frisco location over this one. Also, bellboy gave me a bit of grief about the rolling wardrober. I was with my two boys, so unable to just move around freely and go downstairs to get a wardrober. Called for one and bellboy was extremely reluctant to let me load-up my luggage on my own in my room. Never experience this at other hotels. Lastly, there is a church that holds service on Sunday morns. Nothing wrong w/churches, but after their services, the congregation just crowded at the side entrance/exit and made it nearly impossible to move luggage out the door. Hotel needs to do something about that.

Excellent hotel staff and accommodations at a reasonable price. You get free made to order breakfast and there's a manager's reception with all the alcohol you can drink for free.

Just ok

The drinks for the happy hour were horrible and yes they were free but they offered Bud Lite and Zigenbach. After taking a shower the water stood in the tub all night long. It was disgusting. 3.00 for a bottle of water? Don't think I would stay again.

Gave us the wrong room.

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Clean, good breakfast buffet
Cons: Staffs shouldn't be promising they cant deliver.
Location: Shopping, sight-seeing.
I reserved a suite, one king bed, instead we got two double bed. I called front desk to inform the mistake. They said third party booking doesn't guarantee room reservations; however offered free wine and offered complimentary voucher for a free stay which was to be mailed two days after. To make the long story short, we stayed at the hotel and slept in a double bed which was uncomfortable. I never got the voucher. It has been a month.

Great location and services

The hotel shuttle was quick and easy. The hotel staff was great. The hotel location was near the Grapevine Shuttle which I used to go to Historic Grapevine. There was a restaurant in the hotel and one next to it. My stuff was free of problems. Hurray!!!

Great hotel! Lots of extras!!

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Everything. Traveling with children can usually be tricky but we felt very welcome!
Cons: When we called down for a pack and play they said they'd bring it to our room but never brought it. They were very prompt with the other requests, mus
Location: It is literally 3 mins from Grapevine Mills Mall, which has Rainforest Cafe, Legoland, and Sealife Aquarium. Great area!!
We had a great stay! We had 7 children along with us and it was very accommodating. The pool was open later than most; til midnight. They have a Starbucks coffee bar and the breakfast buffet was great. Lots of choices. For two hours in the evening they serve free alcoholic drinks. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful.
