"We stayed at this hotel for 2 days during the Xanthi festival in September. We chose this hotel because it looked like it was close to the old town on the map. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that it is actually situated a long way up a country road and quite isolated. "This is a gorgeous, family run hotel in a perfectly restored historical building. The bed was comfortable beyond belief (Cocomat!) and the breakfast delicious. Well worth the splurge!"

We had no car and the walk into town was very quick and to the beach was about 15 minutes, and not as difficult as other reviews made out. "Akrathos houses have a very good position. very close to the beach- 80m. have there own sunbeds and umbrella. Very close to the nearest village Polychrono- 500m. Apartments are very clean, the owner is very helpful person. I recommend to everyone. What is not good is close to the main road, and during night you are hearing the traffic. "
