"We had a beautiful room with a large balcony with a view of the mountains. The staff in the hotel were charming and helpful. Breakfasts could be had in your room or the restaurant. There was yoghurt with homemade fruit compote, fruit salad, and delicious rolls and pastries."

Restaurant was good if busy (need to book ahead) and rooms were comfortable. Only area for improvement would be to install a heated boot rack."

They don’t tell you if you get late you are to be locked out of the parking,one night we were able to get in with a card they gave us, next night they didn’t have the card and we had to park somewhere else that at the end was cheaper. They didn’t apologized or cared about our inconvenience."

"For a basic hotel, very good. No AC (but they never said there was, so that's OK). What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows. "Lovely three night stay. Hotel is old school but in a positive way. All the staff are very attentive and helpful. The public areas are immaculately maintained and our room was spotless. The hotel has direct access onto the lakeside promenade. It's a fifteen minute walk into the town centre and about 1 hour walk to Chateau Chllon."
