==A special note regarding cancellations in pandemic times==

We have seen a distinct increase in last-minute cancellations since 2020. While we understand that life in general feels more uncertain these days and that many are struggling, we ask guests to recognize that the same applies to us as small business owners with a sole source of income.

If you would like to book with us but a last-minute cancellation (and loss of any monies paid to us) would be unsustainable for you, we recommend you purchase trip insurance with cancel-for-any-reason coverage.

We look forward to hosting you!

Disappointed
We were in town celebrating our Anniversary. After a long day of travel, hiking and shopping it was time to check in and relax in the hot tub, unfortunately after getting in it was lukewarm and a chilly night so we were shivering. Shower ran out of hot water after a minute. Messaged the host and said she would have someone out the next day. There was an electrical issue with the hot water heater. I requested a partial refund but was told it wasn’t her fault! It certainly wasn’t mine and we paid for a service we didn’t receive. She finally agreed to a portion of what we paid for the 1st night. They didn’t reset the hot tub so there was no power to it. Frustrating for us to say the least… without these issues it would’ve been a perfect getaway.

Phenomenal Experience
The owners were very hospitable and we had a delightful experience. The owners provided us with small breakfast items, which was helpful since we arrived late the night before. I recommend this property as a romantic getaway and an authentic cabin experience.

Very Pleased
The property as well as the private but courteous hospitality by Erika was excellent. Highly recommend assuming you want nice accommodations and close proximity to main Lake Lure area. Perhaps not so much if you want more remote isolation. Nevertheless, we found the compromise agreeable and relaxing.

Cozy Getaway
This was the perfect size cabin and location for a romantic getaway. Great location, close to chimney rock and only about 20 minutes to Hendersonville. So many nice touches that the owners provided such as breakfast items to prepare (eggs, toast, butter and jelly), a bottle of champagne to celebrate my wife's birthday and plenty of cookware and cooking necessities. The hot tub was just right for 2 people and very private. I highly recommend!!

Delightful Cabin
The property is small and charming, but even with 3 cabins in a pretty small plot of land, you never feel anything other than privacy. This is a great cabin, with a wonderful location that makes it easy to get to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville, and more.

Fantastic birthday surprise!
My husband surprised me for my 70th birthday and what a wonderful surprise it was. All of the special amenities were just perfect. Homemade muffins, fresh farm eggs, fresh fruit, scented candle and the homey, coziness of the cottage. The location is perfect. Just a short drive to Ingles’s market and downtown Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village. For my birthday dinner we ate at the Appalachian Restaurant in The Lodge and it was amazing. Jill, our server, was the best and the food absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. We cannot say enough good about the Arbors, you won’t be disappointed!

We really appreciated that it was adult only, the tub and the personal touch with the breakfast items. I only wish we knew more beforehand of additional amenities available like massages and honeymoon packages and that we had more time to spend there. We are already discussing when we can visit again with some of our closest friends.

This little place was amazing! The owners of the property were extremely nice and very communicative. This is definitely a place that I would recommend to any couple that is wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and life. A very quiet little lake town, but I’m sure during the warmer months it may be different. For me the cell phone service was almost non existent but that is what made this place so much better(they do have Wi-Fi). You can spend the time with you and your significant other. The hot tub outside was amazing and just to look up at the stars and watch the satellites go by at night made it all worth it. We definitely can’t wait to go back again!

Weekend Getaway
My wife and I stayed in the Tall Oaks cabin for a weekend getaway. We arrived after dark, but the instructions were very clear and helpful, so we checked in without difficulty. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. Also, the location is great; it’s very close to the Lake Lure shops/restaurants and Chimney Rock. The owners were very communicative and accommodating, and every detail was thought out and planned so we could just relax and enjoy the weekend. I would definitely recommend this cabin for any couples looking for a romantic vacation.
