The only redeeming factor about this hotel is...

Posted Apr 29, 2015
It's proximity to the beach . This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation the rooms are dirty the staff clearly is not cleaning them daily the linens are threadbare . The nice beachside bar that's pictured in the photos is a rundown shack where the waitresses curse at each other and the food is mediocre at best . The pool is nice and it is a good amenity but it's not monitored for others to come up off the beach and filled with strangers .

Not what it seems

Posted Apr 21, 2015
The rooms are smaller than a college dorm. Everything in the hotel needs a complete renovation. Hotel room smells of chlorine and mold. Our room did not receive room service the entire stay. We never received beach towels (were told there were no more). Only had one wash cloth and two towels for two adults. Was interrupted by maintaince about checking the fire alarm which should have been done prior to check in. By the way it started making a buzz noise after the checkup. Parking is $18 self parking per day and $23 valet per day. On the positive the location is amazing and there are great food options.

Cheap, close to the beach.

Overall this hotel look and feel like you are staying in a museum. They have more security staff watching people than housekeeping and front desk personal. If happen that you need to use the restroom in the lobby, you better go to your room because in the lobby they close the restroom at night.

Location & parking is the only thing going for it.

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Location & parking convenience
Cons: Everything. I keep trying to give this place a chance, but each time is worse than the time before -hate to scream, but asking politely doesn't do it.
Location: Bike riding, walking, beaching, eating, bars/entertainment. The boardwalk / strip is great.
1) Paid for an upgrade to "ocean view". Our window faces the bare wall of a building. However, you CAN see the beach if you're laying in the bed closest to the window propped up against the headboard. 2) The window frame had a fist-sized crumbling hole in it. 3) The air conditioner was on full blast all the time -- the thermostat was totally not functional - couldn't turn it off or down. It always read 68 degrees. When I called, they said they would send someone, but never did. The blowing of the air let up a bit, but the temperature stayed at 68. (I was sick in bed that day with food poisoning, so that didn't help!) 4) I had to call three times to get extra blankets: when I asked the housekeeper, she said I should call the front desk. When I asked the front desk, they told me to call housekeeping. 5) The phone buttons lead to the main information number, so pressing the front desk or housekeeping buttons don't take you there - you have to listen to all the prompts before finding out you have to select the operator to transfer you... 6) Housekeeping services: one day there was absolutely nothing (no garbage pickup, no bedmaking...); one day they made my bed but did not replace the towels that were left on the floor. 2 days --no coffee -- we had to find a housekeeping cart to get it. 7) Stove doesn't work - turn it on and only gas comes out - need matches I guess. 8) Threadbare towels & only get 2 large towels, 1 hand towel and 2 washcloth. 9) Breakfast no longer inc.

Affordable. Great location

The room was clean. Had a scare with gas stove. The hotel is old. Most shops are empty. Walking back at night use front entrace. Bring your own towels for beach

on the beach

Posted Apr 13, 2015
It is an older hotel. However I knew that before arrival. However it was CLEAN with all the basics. I wanted a room right in the beach which is what I got. Clearly not 5 Star. It was absolutely worth the price I paid considering LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
