“Location Location Location.”
I bought this hotel via a 'secret hotel' style deal so was a little nervous at first after discovering which hotel it was, and reading some of the reviews.
It has to be said that some things that people have said are true; the rooms are small, and noise does travel especially from the street, but the rooms are clean, tidy and actually at night when there is little traffic it is quite peaceful. Come the morning the honking cars are back, (a reminder of Turkish driving!) but it's not so awful, unless you wake at the rustling of paper.
I'd remind some previous complainers that you have chosen a hotel that is perfectly placed in the heart of the old city, literally 3-10 mins gentle stroll from several attractions, vibrant neighbourhoods and amazing restaurants (Panoramic Restaurant in the Adamar Hotel opposite is not to be missed), a city that is centuries old and built without much town planning... so it will be a little crammed, and the streets may get a little congested at times, the buildings may be a bit narrow, so your rooms will be too. If you wanted lots of space and silence, and a cloned experience - don't stay in the thick of it!
One complaint, however. I was not allowed to use the spa when I wanted. I was told to come back in 20 mins or book despite the fact I did not want a treatment (only to sit in the sauna) and I'd just been down there and seen a worker asleep and the place empty.
Overall it deserves 4/5 despite not being '4 star' - Helpful, clean, location
