We choose the Delta because of location.

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Location The Hotel staff was super Friendly!
Cons: Parking, but there was construction going on that played a factor.
Location: Centre in the Square Dining, Shopping.
Our stay was excellent. The room was large and very clean, updated and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and worth staying for. They did a little extra at the buffet which I liked. They gave us a carfe of coffe on our table with two addtional take away cups if we so wanted a traveller. Nice touch!

Downtown, very clean, beautifully decorated

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: VERY clean, nicely decorated, and right downtown.
Cons: The bathroom is a bit cramped - could use a towel rack and more storage for toiletries.
Location: Easy walk to the farmers' market, nice little shops and coffee houses, right on a main thoroughfare.
We were here only one night, but wow were we impressed. We chose it on the basis of location (right smack dab downtown) but it exceeded our expectations. Everything was SUPER clean. The room was beautiful, and we had a great stay. I found the mattress a little soft for my liking, but my companion was very pleased (that's just a preference thing, though). Bathroom was a little cramped, but lovely. The staff were very nice, helped us efficiently through checking in and out, and recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch. All in all an excellent experience. I will definitely return.

Well located and modern/contemporary appearance

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The room was quite large and well appointed
Cons: A little confusing to get around with three entrances and the pool and exercise area are right next to meeting rooms, which is odd.
We stayed for a weekend and enjoyed the experience ... will return!

Downtown location

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The parking was conveniently located. It was handy to have a fridge, microwave and effective climate control in the room.
Cons: The addition of towel bars in the bathroom would be helpful as there was nowhere to hang used towels or wet swimwear.
Location: The Kitchener Market was right across the road and there were many cultural activities close by including a museum and arts centre.
Our family of four was in Kitchener-Waterloo for a campus visit. The hotel is in downtown Kitchener and about 20 minutes from the university. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the area, the school and the local restaurants. My husband and sons enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. In addition there was a terrific fitness centre with complete change room facilities available to the guests. We ate one meal in the on-site restaurant and found it to be very good. The room was clean and well organized for an overnight stay, although our double room would be a bit crowded for four adults if planning to spend much time in the room.

Very good food and the room was very nice and the bed was very comfy. I would have liked an email with my final credit card charge.

Comfort Down Town

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Bathrooms need to be people-friendly
Location: We walked to restaurants and to the Centre in the square
Very nice hotel with excellent staff members. Close to nearly everything in the down town. Only rough spot was the bathroom; looks pretty at the cost of no room left for items such as soap. Would stay at this hotel again.

I would have given 5 stars but for the beds

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: I liked the cleanliness, newness, and the decor.
Cons: The firmness of the beds and the size of the bathrooms provide major opportunities for improvement.
Location: It is close to a Crabby Joe's (pub-style restaurant), the Crepe Cafe (a breakfast place), 3 minute walk to a local bus stop
The hotel is very new, clean and modern-looking. The staff is well-informed, courteous and prompt. The hotel room was a good size although the bathroom was too small for a hotel room with 2 queen size beds, although it was well-appointed. Based on the size of the bathroom, the room should only have 1 occupant. Even a married couple would have difficulty although they try to mitigate that issue by having plenty of mirrors in the room where another person can get ready. The one major issue I had was with the firmness of the beds. They are too soft and tend to sink in the middle. Since the main reason a person rents a hotel room is to sleep, the beds should be a main focus of guest comfort. All in all, this hotel is a solid 4 stars.

Dear Sheryl, Thank you for your review of the Crowne Plaza Kitchener. We give the utmost importance to our guest comments as they help us improve, and continually provide the best guest experience possible. In regards to our bathrooms size I do recommended booking one of Executive Room styles next time you stay with us. The size of the bathroom is larger and it has a full vanity top in the bathroom. Thank you for you comments regarding the firmness of beds,my apologies that the beds weren't to your liking. I will pass on your comments and we will look into maybe getting some firmer mattresses. Thanks again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you again to the Crowne Plaza Kitchener. Warm Regards, Amanda Assistant Front Office Manager

Right downtown

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Very modern, hotel was clean, staff was nice, beds and pillows were comfy. Walls are a little thin could hear other guests about in the hallways and the standard room is pretty small. We used the gym, the equipment is fairly old and we were surprised to find out there is an extra charge to use the bowling lanes. Overall it was just nice to get away to something different for the night but would have to say the hotel is a little overpriced.

Pretty great place

Posted Feb 2, 2015
The main floor where you check in was a little too trendy for my tastes, the music they played made me think I was in a dance club. Other than that it was great, clean and well maintained. The hallways upstairs were very narrow, reminding us of a train sleeper car, and I was worried what the room would be like. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room was very large and well appointed. Bed was large (king size) and very comfortable! Lots of space and in room features too! My old complaint would be that the walls seemed a little thin, we could hear the comings and goings in the hall quite clearly at night. Otherwise a great hotel!

Modern rooms, great staff

Posted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: Desk staff was efficient and helpful -- not that kind of friendly that feels false or coerced.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and downtown Kitchener. Waterloo is not too far away. My room was recently remodelled and very comfortable.
