Lovely resort in splendid isolation

Posted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Had a wonderful stay in this isolated resort. We stayed in a garden room with a private plunge pool, which was great (it's pretty small, the main pool is fine for doing a few lengths). The bathroom was great, with a high rainfall shower. The bedroom was fine, with a large double bed and a chair and sofa. The hotel supply unlimited bottled drinking water which they will replenish quickly when you've run out. The breakfast in the main restaurant was really good - a la carte with plenty of western & Thai choices. The adjacent Bamboo restaurant was great for lunch/dinner on the beach. The spa is excellent - plenty of massage options. Service was attentive and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The resort location is really isolated - there is very little nearby. There is a small family mart about 2km from the resort, and the hotel supply free bikes which make it fine for a quick trip for essentials. Overall, I'd recommend this for a few days of proper relaxation in a beautiful location.

Very restful - far from it all but not too far.

Pros: The cooking class and the quiet location; the friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The most bizarre thing was that, each successive day, we seemed to have fewer and fewer towels. And, the lack of hooks for towels & bathrobes.
Location: Super quiet and relaxing. Not built up at all - not yet anyway.
The area where Elements is located is very quiet. We rented stand-up paddle boards from Naish SUP that were delivered to the hotel. The beach isn't great but it was perfect for SUPs. We rented motorbikes, rode the hotel bikes and rented a car one day. It was the perfect amount of exploring. We strongly recommend the cooking class - we had a blast and my husband said he'd take it again if we had more time. Our room was very comfortable. I spent a good part of one day in bed as I got sick - I was able to sleep well and rest. Our room was on the end, over the gym, which we thought was cool. Unfortunately, we kept hearing a "rhythmic" sound that "came on" randomly, all hours, and we could not figure it out out. We finally discovered that it was the elliptical machine. That was hilarious. To quote another guest, the hotel is "quirky", but we enjoyed it. Ask Diew, the bartender, to make you a "dirty chunky monkey". We had him create a drink after he gave us a sample of a chocolate smoothie and I had just finished a "chunky monkey". He perfected it. So, it's easy to say, the staff was very friendly as we ended up hanging out at the bar most evenings. Our flight leaving was late and we were able to stay in our room until it was time to leave - for which we are still grateful.

Best relaxing vacation ever

This hotel gets my maximum rating. It is small, located in a quiet area, the staff is very service oriented (only the refill of the mini bar can be improved). They provide a great and cheap spa, which we used almost every day. They even provided a motor cycle for two days free of charge. if we have a question, regardless whether it is for tour booking or other informations, onje of the managers were available immediately. The Gym is also or free - equiped with new devices, finish and steam sauna. The only disadvantage for us was the restaurant, which provides from our point of view too less typical Thai food (fine dining). But we were flexible with a car, so we went out for lunch / dinner several times.

A fantastic experience! Superb boutique hotel, quiet amazingly designed, would definately return and fitting for a honeymoon experience. Its just a pity the beach at the front was rather untidy. Everthing else, superb.
