We stayed here for our anniversary and were very impressed. The staff were warm and helpful, the room was well appointed and awesome. At first we thought the lack of tv, cell signal and sketchy wifi would be a bad thing but it ended up being just what we needed. The only downfall was that the restaurant was closed during our stay. I've read a few reviews complaining about the single ply tp, here is my advice: fold it once and it's double ply, fold it twice and its triple, fold it three times and it's the rare quad ply usually only found at the residences of royalty and tech billionaires. If you want fancy go up the hill to the Chateau, pay triple what your food is worth and hang out with the hoard of bus tours. If you want a laid back, private, cozy vacation stay here, we loved it.

Hotel is in a perfect location and has exactly what we wanted in a hotel. Walking distance to shopping. Short drive to area hiking (to Plain of the Six Glaciers and to end of Moraine Lake). Has a good whirlpool for soaking away the weariness. Continental breakie worked for us. Quiet. Microwave and fridge so had lunch one day. Only down side was there was no elevator so had to lug bags and coolers to second floor.

Great location. Tiny very basic rooms and bathroom but lounge area and restaurant are fantastic, food is excellent and reasonably priced. Rooms don't have TV but you don't miss it. This place is full of character and very relaxing. Would stay there again definitely.
