Fantastic hotel in LangkawiPosted Feb 21, 2015
We stayed at Temple Tree (sister to Bon Ton) four five fantastic nights. Beautiful rooms coupled with friendly, warm and helpful service by staff who are dedicated and professional. A relaxing and unforgettable holiday. I would strongly recommend the hotel if you are looking for a romantic and peaceful get away.

Very nice and spacious roomsPosted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Rooms, colonial buildings, staff
Cons: Breakfast could use some proteins (boiled, fried, poached or scrambled eggs)
Location: Awesome location with rooms set in colonial or peranakan style buildings. Pantai Cenang (beach) within walking distance. Neighboring Bon Ton resort
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice surroundings. Spacious rooms with good facilities. Good kitchen although neighboring Bon Ton has a wider choice. Breakfast delivered to rooms. Perfect place to wind down from our Andaman island trip

I wouldn't come back againPosted Dec 15, 2014
Strange location. Traditional chinese and malay old houses, far away from the sea (!), in the country, very large, wooden made, but without glasses on the windows, so the quality of sleeping is bad cause the noise of animals and the insects. Staff excellent but very poor breakfast. Bad ratio quality/price.

Great hotel!Posted Dec 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Temple Tree was an excellent hotel! The service was fantastic and when I told them it was my husbands 40th birthday they organized a complemtary cake and glasses of wine for us. Our children were welcomed and they offered breakfast foods they would enjoy. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we loved that the hotel is a cat and dog sanctuary. All the cats around the hotel gave it a nice atmosphere. Overall our experience was excellent and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique experience.

Ett härligt personligt hotell.Posted Dec 11, 2014 on Hotels.com

Not worth itPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: character. views.
Cons: too many to mention.
Location: Lounge around the pool with a book or watch the rice grow in the paddies.
First let me start with the good points: The hotel has a lot of character. The surrounding area is very picturesque. The bad points: The animal shelter nearby, while good in principle, is not entirely conducive for good sleeping, i.e. often the dogs start barking in unison, which seems to happen most often in the middle of the night, and lasts for hours. The always open slats on the walls, which is supposed to bring in fresh air, also allows in all sorts of critters: i spotted and liquidated roaches, centipedes, crickets, mosquitoes, and spotted what looked like the head of a rat or a squirrel sticking into my room through the slats. The air-conditioning does not cool the room either. The locations is terrible inconvenient to get to and from the city. Too far to walk in the heat, and not at all safe to walk during the evening (given lack of street lights and traffic), and any cabs called to come pick you up will charge you extra for being called. THere is nothing nearby to eat so going to town is the only option. The breakfast is pretty basic. A piece of toast, a slice of butter. Some orange flavored sugar water. Instant coffee. And a yogurt. Management was quite absent during my stay, so requesting any additional services (e.g. an extra bed sheet or cup) took much longer than necessary or otherwise was not answered at all. The pool is very shallow, so your legs drag on the ground as you swim. The chaise cushions and lounge towels looked dirty and had a putrid stench
