"Host was very gracious. The place is at the end of long, very narrow winding roads. Some sections of road too narrow for two vehicles to pass. Host advised us to get our groceries/provisions before arrival, which we failed to do. After arrival I wouldn’t plan on driving anywhere before checkout. House is clean. "Corona is a charming village high in the mountains outside Lugano. We loved our stay in this spacious and comfortable house. It has a spectacular view of the mountains and Lake Lugano. The village has a charming church, shops, many ancient houses, a few hotels, and a large swimming pool open to the public. Nearby are hiking trails in all directions. The surrounding gardens were so manicured and breathtaking! I stayed at Castagnola for 5 nights and my daily breakfast was a treat to look forward to. I also found the convenience of the Hotel to the city centre a bonus as I could easily walk this each day. Being a woman travelling solo I could not have been made to feel more welcome by the friendly and professional team at Villa Castagnola. I highly recommend this Hotel! "
