Immediately upon arriving (after a long journey) I found there to be no hot water in the shower. This was not fixed for 24hrs. I also expected the staff to be more friendly/community focused however this was not the case. I was never invited to the whatsapp group even though I requested to be added and ultimately, will never stay at a selina again. Hostels provide a much better hostel...

"I stayed there the night of my Amazon trip as this is where the bus picked up so it was convenient in that sense. I stayed again the night my Amazon trip retruned. I had a private room which was basic, but well priced for my needs. For longer term, I likely wouldn't stay there. Staff friendly. I didn't have the breakfast but the rooftop patio had a great view. They will store extra luggage for you while you are on your Amazon trip."

"Manuela is so friendly, accomodating & helpful! We enjoyed a few walks into Mindo center from the location & even from Mariposa Butterfly back. It feels safe, convenient & authentic. We enjoyed some lemongrass tea from the garden (on invitation to use the garden fruit & herbs) The Yumbosa Chocolate tour in town is a treat as well. Thank you!"
