May 7th-May 13th

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: It was very clean, the restaurant workers are very nice.
Cons: Room information should be given out on how things work.
Location: The walk to the town center and ruins may be farther than some want to walk, they do provide a shuttle. We chose to walk, and we enjoyed it.
I would not call tis a Resort, but it served its purpose nicely. The showers are small, but usable. You have to insert your room key to get the lights and air to work. The room should come with some sort of explanation, it took us a bit to figure out how everything worked.

Not a welcoming place

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: clean, efficient and (ooh I don't know), clean!
Cons: change the manager so the staff smile a bit and just relax the atmosphere
Location: pompeii is within walking distance. Herculaneum is only about 12 stops away.
we were two couples travelling through Europe stopping T over a dozen places. This hotel was probably the least welcoming. It seemed that the manager had set the mantra as efficiency first, customers second. There is nothing wrong with the physical hotel, it is just the way it is run. We were unlucky in that we were given a room directly above the bar, so what little noise did happen, it was outside our window. Breakfast was so disappointing in that the coffee machine did not work both days, the juice ran ou, the cheese ran out, the meat ran out, and that was with only about twenty other guests in the dining room. The only staff member on duty tried to keep up, but just could not. Strikes me as a place with too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

Ultimo pernottamento

Posted Apr 25, 2015

Also nichts für Langschläfer!

A bit of a walk from town

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Clean & friendly
Location: A bit far from the town centre. Visit the ruins. A few friendly restaurants & bars.
The hotel and staff were very good. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the Cathedral and train to Naples, 20 minutes from the ruins, and about 40 minutes from the train to Sorrento. Although a taxi could be ordered from the front desk there were none nearby and the taxi ranks were empty. Maybe it was the time of year - late March, before Easter +18C on the temperature. The local people were very friendly and would help you out if you looked lost. Although cars parked absolutely anywhere the drivers were very polite and often stopped to let you cross the road.

Slightly out of the way, but worth it.

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Very clean and nicely decorated. Staff very friendly.
Cons: The only mark we took off from the overall score was under comfort, and this was only because the bed was slightly hard, and the duvet was rather worn
Location: Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby in the town. Pompeii Ruins about 10 minutes walk away.
Upon arrival on the Circumvesuvio train, we did become slightly lost finding the hotel on foot. Most hotels seemed to be sign posted, except for this one. However, being comfortable on foot and slightly adventurous anyway, we soon found it some ten minute walk from the station. In honesty we should have made more attempts to look at a map first! The hotel was honestly surprising for what we paid. It is very modern and classical, and exceptionally clean. It felt very exotic and vibrant, and the reception staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. We were shown to our room (a very nice touch often overlooked). The special spa shower was totally unexpected and a luxurious touch. The restaurant offered a nice variety both during dinner and breakfast, and again the waiters spoke excellent English. Again we did have a 10-15 minute walk to the ruins of Pompeii, but we were lucky with the weather so this didn't effect us that much. The hotel is close to the main shops of Pompei town itself.

Lovely hotel close enough to the ruins

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: The friendliness of all the staff and the fact that the hotel was outside of Pompeii itself but close enough to the ruins
Cons: Please provide a kettle in the rooms with coffee and tea. It would have made our stay perfect.
Location: Location is ideal, there are plenty or nice restaurants around and it is a nice walk into the centre.
Had a lovely surprise with this hotel. We booked at the last minute but did not know what to expect but it was delightful. The restaurant was very nice with good food but the hotel was also close to a pizzeria where you could have a very nice pizza. The bar staff were very nice and friendly and the staff at the reception gave us very good tips on how to visit the ruins with the least hassle.

Hotel ok

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: Coffee tea making facilities in room
Location: Great restaurant in pompei. Look on trip advisor
Hotel is ok but bed was almost at floor level. Hard to get up if you have hip or knee replacements.
