Kaitlin and Justin, Thank you for your complimentary review of the camp. Everything was left nicely. We appreciate your care. We apologize for the mechanical work on Saturday. Our son-in-law’s truck had brake failure, he could not make it home and stopped here, the brakes were imminently inoperative. Our son and son-in-law fixed the truck in front of the shop the same afternoon as the wedding. Regarding stereos/noise. Much of the trouble started with the generator. When we agreed to allow a camper for additional guests, we did not know there would be a very loud generator in the back of a steel pickup box/bed running for three days. We could not deny that family power for AC – but the racket of that generator running in the upper area, raddled, resonated, echoed 24 hours night and day – 3 days in a steel pickup bed. For our neighbors across the street there was no quiet time over the weekend. Then the stereo outside the camper was left on while simultaneously the stereo at the beach and cottages was on loud. After asking for the stereo at the beach/cottages be turned down we continued to get complaints, not yet knowing there were two stereos playing. From our house we could only hear the beach/cottage stereo and the generator. Walking up and across the street to listen from the neighbors I then heard the camper stereo was also on. I do not know how many hours the camper stereo was playing with no one even there and its outside speakers were pointed across the street right at two neighboring homes along with the raddling, resonating, generator. We have never had a neighbor complaint until this incident. The overall noise with two stereos and a generator was excessive.
