Only one disappointment

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Everything apart from, maybe, the breakfast
Cons: The heat of the hot part of the breakfast
Location: Location is outside of town but they offer free buses. All activities are within easy reach because tour companies collect you from the hotel.
The hotel is a 10 minute bus ride away from the centre but they do provide a complimentary for the numerous local buses; it is also a very pleasant one hour walk to the centre along the sea front. The hotel itself is excellent the room was very clean and comfortable, the other areas were also very nice. The breakfast was the one slight disappointment because although everything you would wish to have, was available, the hot food was lukewarm and sometimes cold. Hot plates would have helped! All the staff were very helpful. That aside I would stay their again.

Bad location. Minimal amenities

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Polite staff
Cons: Basic amenities provided
Location: None!
Far from city centre. Booked this place thinking that it should be ok. Far from it. Have to take a PUBLIC BUS to get to city centre where the life is! Few restaurants nearby. Nothing to do after dark in the area. Taking a taxi from the city centre to hotel costs USD25. No toothbrushes even. Provided with instant coffee & paper cups in room.

Amazing

Highly recommended, it's a brilliant hotel and you won't go wrong at all by picking this. They should give a complimentary breakfast as I know quite a few other hotels in Reykjavik however they don't, other than that you'll love every second !!

Great location, lots of fantastic restaurants within 5 min walk from hotel, turn right out of hotel and you will find lots of places to eat. Salad bar, sushi, Icelandic fish lunch cafe, Vietnamese restaurant, coffee shop. Great free bus pass to explore reykjavik included in your stay, amazing views of the snowy mountains in the distance !

Hilton Reykjavic Nordica Review

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Spent a thoroughly nice week here over the new year. The hotel was excellent, very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very friendly... and the complimentary bus pass came in very useful (don't forget to ask for this when you need it). Finally, the pancakes at breakfast were a definite hit with my partner and I.

Excellent hotel, suitably located in Reykjavik.

Fab hotel, walking distance to the city centre. The overall standard and condition of the hotel was excellent and I would recommend it to others visiting Iceland. The facilities were equally great, in particular the gymnasium.

stay no whereelse

Cons: More vegetarian options for breakfast
Location: Close to Downtown, near coastline. Many pick ups from hotel for tours.
Very courteous and helpful staff, clean and updated rooms, excellent views, tons of gathering places in lobby with great ambience to relax with friends after day of tour/activity. Good excercise room and excellent executive lounge. Very close to downtown. Loved every minute of the stay.....highly recommend it.
