"We liked it!"
We stayed at the Hotel Colorado for 3 nights before our families arrived for our Italian wedding (in San Gimignano). The hotel was a little bit outside of the main Florence area, though super close to the Accademia (where the David is). The hotel is nice and good value - it has wifi, private bathrooms and breakfast. The man who runs the hotel is SUPER nice and accomodating. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Hotel Casci

"Comfortable, clean hotel with excellent location"
The Hotel Casci offers superb location near major sights in Florence. We found the facility to be clean and comfortable, the owners and staff memorably and generously attentive, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They each contributed to a warm and welcoming atmosphere and were very approachable for assistance in providing information as well as details involving guest comfort (such as daiiy requests for ice for an injured knee). We stayed here four nights and very much appreciated the quiet environment both in the hotel and protection from outside noise on the street below. The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, the bathrooms spotless, well equipped with modern fixtures and ample in scale. The breakfasts were delicious, healthy, ample; they also proffered an opportunity to talk with other guests (or to eat in solitude if one chose.)

From the outside this hotel looked like a cheap relation but inside the quality, cleanliness and service was second to none. The quality of the room and accessability to the city is superb. "Will stay here again."
I was very impressed with Andy Florence. The location was great. My room was always clean and the bathrooms were spotless. Andy was very helpful and the staff was very friendly. The only caveat is that you need to be able to carry your luggage up two flights...there aren't any lifts.

Relais Villa Antea - Florence Hotels

Relais Villa Antea

Via Puccinotti 46, Florence - Map
"Great place to stay"
This is the place to stay if you like a quiet and personal accommodation. With only 6 bedrooms it is hard to think what could be better - and competitively priced as well. Be prepared though, it is quite because it is away from the main tourist areas so it's a 20 minute walk to the main attractions. One great bonus is that there are some brilliant restaurants close by. They range from a really good, cheap, busy and fun vegetarian restaurant to perhaps one of the best restaurants in town, all within no more than 750 metres. They were all so much nicer than the busy (and dubious quality) tourist restaurants in the centre of town. Villa Antea have prepared a small booklet with all the information you need to make the most of this wonderful city and were very helpful in advising us and booking museums ahead.

"Friendly hotel with great breakfast"
We stayed at this hotel on our first visit to Florence. It was easy to find, the entrance was a bit tricky…its inside another door, and in a great location! The hotel is on a side street, only a few minutes walk to El Duomo, which makes it very easy to navigate back to from any point in the city. The room was huge compared to others I've stayed at in Europe, very clean and comfortable. The only downside was that the street noise was really loud at night however I get the feeling this may be true wherever you stay. The couple that run the hotel are super nice and gave us great advice on the things we may want to do while in the city. Breakfast is prepared every morning and although we were only able to enjoy it one day, I can tell you its fabulous, and a great asset in a city that you have to pay extra to enjoy a breakfast sitting down! Overall a great place to stay that I would gladly return!
