"We had a fabulous time at this property! The location is perfect - it's tucked back in the woods, so you feel secluded. There's a great view of Pinnacle Knob from the spacious front porch. But, it's also only a few minutes to downtown Clayton if you're also looking for restaurants and boutique shopping. The home was very clean and well-appointed! We couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely return to this property when in need of a quiet, comfortable getaway."

"We thoroughly enjoyed The Nest! A very cool place in a perfect location, easy walk to everything in downtown Highlands including some hiking trails. "Home was clean. comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we could need. When you first walk in the view of the mountains is breathtaking. My wife thought it was a little creepy that there was no blinds in the main bathroom.you should seriously do something with the road. We had a truck and we had to had to use 4wheel drive."

"We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday in the Highlands, and this home could not have been more perfect! Plenty of beautifully decorated bedrooms, spacious and comfortable living room, and adequately stocked kitchen. The views from the deck were wonderful, the neighborhood was quiet, and the best part was that we could walk everywhere within minutes. We parked our cars and didn’t need them all weekend. Thank you for sharing your awesome home!"

"This was a relaxing get away in an area that we had not experienced before. Loved the creek and fire pit and our visit to Wayah Bald. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. Trimming of the hedges left and right of the drive might aid exiting the driveway less difficult and a mattress update in the second floor middle bedroom would be nice."

Very steep, narrow turns and tight roads. I understand that people that live in the area, like the cleaners, are used to the mountain roads, but coming from the lower part of the state, it was eye opening. "was absolutely beautiful. I wanted to be secluded and away from the world and that’s exactly what this place gave me. It has a beautiful history and the place is absolutely breathtaking the mountains are gorgeous and the hot tub was perfect. The drive up is a little scary in a car (I was in a Nissan Sentra) and had no issues though but going down is a lot easier lol. It’s a beautiful place I loved it hope to stay again. "
