Accor Schwabing hotels in Munich, Germany

This is not a luxury hotel, but it offers comfortable, clean lodging with a very helpful staff. We chose it because it was near where my daughter is studying in Germany, but with the easy access to the Ubahn it was easy to get around anywhere in the city. The staff was very helpful with our travel plans and communication needs. Breakfast was excellent with lots of organic foods - all very fresh.

A great hotel located in a quiet part of Munich yet the centre is easily accessible by the U-Bahn nearby. The hotel itself is a great idea having suites which are ideal for families complete with a separate toilet and bathroom, microwave, fridge and a small sink area. The huge bed is screened off from where the kids pull out beds are so the adults can watch TV without disturbing the kids too much if they don't want to go downstairs to the (reasonably priced) bar area. The rooms have proper black out blinds in all the windows and there was ample storage space and power sockets - something that kept everyone's gadgets topped up and the kids happy. The staff were most helpful and assisted when our hire car was damaged overnight by another car. The parking is free offsite on the side roads in what is a mixed office and residential area. There didn't seem to be any restrictions on this but it can be a bit tight, hence the bumper scrape we received! All in all I would recommend the hotel to any family looking for somewhere cheap to stay and use as a base to explore the area.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable, we were very pleased we stayed there. Access to the subway & buses is on the doorstep and it is easy to get anywhere in the city from here. the Lufthansa airport bus also stops just round the corner so transfers from the airport are convenient.

We chose the Ibis because we've stayed in other locations and have always found them to be good value. This Ibis is further out of town than other hotels - to get to it from the centre of Munich you have to take the U bah to Munchner Freiheit station and then a 6 minute tram journey to Anni-Albers Strasse and then it's just 2 mins round the corner to the hotel. Or you can go to Nordfriedhof U bahn and walk through the underpass - this takes about 10 mins. There's lots of bakeries, shops and restaurants at Munchner Freiheit as this is the main part of Schwabing. The hotel is in a residential area - the only shop is a garage forecourt a few mins at the end of the street for drinks and small snacks. This didn't bother us as we were out all day and only in the hotel to sleep and shower. It was very quiet at night - the hotel is mainly used for tour groups that have early starts - but it wasn't noisy in the morning either. Great shower, roomy with good water pressure. The bathroom and room were very clean.

Hotel is a typical 'small' European city hotel - but very adequate. Got a single room and it was a little snug - but not unlike several other German hotels I alga e stayed at. Room was clean and very nice staff. Hotel is close to the subway and a 15 min walk to the English garden. Lots of shops 5 ~10 min walk south and places to eat. Great breakfast and nice outside area also where you can eat.
