Room was fine. No soap or shampoo, but I'd brought my own. Plenty of restaurants, banks, and stores within short walking distance. People were friendly. French is the language, so know a little to get by. A few spoke some English. 100 yards to harbor for island tours by boat or Land Rover. I did both, and they were terrific. Also, there is a shuttle boat every 1/2 hour to Fort de France to see fort St. Louis and the main city on Martinique, or to get a cab to the airport. Cruise ships dock there also. Weather was great, and it is a beautiful island. Village Creol was nice, and Trois Illet was a perfect area to stay.

The hotel is a pleasant place to stay with an delightful open air roof-shaded patio and view. It is close to a beach. The staff were helpful, providing a map, recommendations for dinner, taxi reservations when asked, and the printing of my boarding pass. The cost of a taxi to the airport is 50-60 euros - one way. One should know that much of Martinique seems to be closed on Saturday afternoon. Also, restaurants don't open for dinner until about 7 pm. My room had a refrigerator. The housekeeping staff keeps the rooms with clean appearances, but I found a couple of bits of paper from previous guests under my bed and there was a slow leak at one place in the ceiling that made my slippers wet.

My husband and I took our first trip to Martinique and stayed in Hotel Panoramic for 9 days. It was very nice and quiet. The hotel was just a short walk from the beach. We loved the pool, kitchen facilities, and VERY helpful staff. The view from the room and pool was beautiful!

We spend several days in this hotel. Very nice lobby and swimming pool area, good restaurant. Conveniently located in the middle of a new village with shops, restaurants and near the marina, easy to walk to the shuttle boat to Fort de France.

Stayed at the Courbaril Village in Martinique in December. Overall we enjoyed the experience. The little "cabin/cottage" was quaint and perfect for what we needed. Great atmosphere for a laid-back experience. The only thing, I would ask for would be more towels and an extra roll of toilet paper! (seriously- there was only one, half-roll when we arrived). It was a lovely place- close to the beach and a good basic grocery store on site. It is quite far, by taxi, from Fort de France so this was an unexpected expense as we arrived late at night. I would recommend trying to time your arrival so that you can take the "little ferry" that runs between the hotel and Fort de France (much, much cheaper), or look into public transportation (taxi collectif).

We loved our stay here. The host was absolutely lovely, despite our lack of French! The hotel is really a cute house on the top of a hill, with an amazing view, surrounded by bush. Its remote location made for a really peaceful stay. It was about Euro 50 by taxi to get there from the airport, we recommend to rent a car instead. Don't expect all the amenities of a five star hotel. It is an experience in itself, with all the charm of the french. The room was very clean, and charming.

Our room was on the 3rd floor; access via individual gated doors which need a key to access each time you enter and close this steel door at street level (inconvenience). Big room, very good air conditioning system; but this is about the only positives we took away from this stay. No curtains in main room, house-cleaning only when requested. There was suppose to be Wi-Fi which was down at the time of our arrival; it had been down for about 1 week prior to our arrival and was to be repaired in 14-20 days?? TV did not work upon our arrival, but that was the one thing the hotel was able to get repaired. No towels, toilet paper, shampoo nor shower soap upon arrival - never seen a total lack of amenities missing from a hotel room (coming from someone who travels on a weekly basis for business). You need to run the air conditioning system to mask outside noise - if you keep windows opened, expect noise day & night. Hotel rating states 3 stars - not. This is a 2-star property.
