well located hotel

Cons: cleanliness,service, food, and please renovate the rooms/bathrooms
A well located hotel overlooking the fatehsagar lake is let down with a building which needs renovation and shoddy service. food was just about ok but thats just about it. Is no where near a 5 star. A very poorly run property. Toilets did not work properly and the shower was just a trickle

The property was fantastic and well maintained. Staff was very efficient and courteous. Breakfast was elaborate and very good. Excellent value for money.

Room Service and basic amenities in room was pathetic. The hotel cant accommodate many guests at a single point in time which results in poor service. My over all experience was not at all good.

Bad Experience

We booked 2 rooms for a day in July, other then our 2 rooms the Hotel was booked for some Wedding, and it made our Hotel experience really bad. NO one to serve you, NO restaurant open, NO spa, NO Buffet Breakfast, No dustbins in room, no cleanliness in Hotel, Wedding party food left over in every corner .Pool open till 7:00 evening only, indoor games till 7 :00 PM only. They should have not taken normal booking if they were booked for wedding............it was the worst experience I ever had with any star Hotel It looked more like (Raddisson Dharamshala) rather thn a hotel. It was not at all value for money & I won't recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is nicely located near the Fateh Sagar Lake with some great views. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is courteous but the service is not upto the mark. We were told that lebanese food was servced on the patio. But when trying to order the manager regretted that lebanese food has been stopped for the past few months so how could someone from front office suggest that. The food preparation was not all that good. The pool water was green and on enquiring were told that the filtration plant was not working. Even than we saw few guests having a swim in the dirty green water.

Great hotel at nice location

Cons: Staff behavior
Hotel is located at nice location. Facility was good and food was amazing. However our arrival was not very welcome. There was a fire two days before and hotel was not reconditioned for guests. Staff were reluctant to provide alternate arrangement and after long argument finally we got an alternate arrangement.

Horrible experience

We were travelling with a 1.5 year old and looking for some relaxation and rest. None of that happened. 1. We arrived at 4:00pm and it took the staff 1/2 hour to "read your room"! The check in time is 2:00pm. Why did we have to wait? 2. The "ready room" did not have towels, WC was dirty, the fridge and AC were not working. 3. The repairmen for fridge came and said he will repair it within half hour! 4. We tried to change rooms and it took the staff and manager 1 hour to "arrange for a room". 5. We wanted to check the room this time just to make sure it was clean. And it was! But the room smelled of smoke. 6. The manager said he would make sure the smell is gone in 10 min. After 20 min we were ushered back and they had taken care of the smell. 7. Finally at around 6:30pm we were settled and ordered club sandwich and coffee. There was a HAIR in the sandwich. When we asked the chef to come all she said was "we will bring you another one!" No apology whatsoever. 8. At around 7:00pm the room started stinking of smoke to the level where I could not breath. We asked them to change out room. 9. They found a room that did not have any smell, but was close to where the wedding ceremony was about to happen and where there was no working fridge! 10. The bathtub was clogged after the first shower and I had to literally bathe in the gunky water. 11. We were there to relax for the night and we ended up more tired! Never expected this from Sheraton. If they have any "hospitality" in them they should contact me and atleast apologize. I have proof for the hair in the sandwich and also water clogs! I should have taken more pictures. I have not listed one more room that they showed us and the experience of our family in other room. But you can imagine how horrific the service was by just reading this much!
