Descent place!!

I stayed for there for 3 days...first day they gave me a very bad room, then on my repeated request they gave me a better room and I had a very descent time at the hotel. Breakfast buffet was not good as you get in a similar hotel in Delhi ...staff at the reception was very rude....Service staff was very helpful both at the room service and at the restaurant for breakfast.its a descent place for family and friends to stay but I still feel this hotel needs to improve on some of their service and room level parameters

Nice Hotel

Pros: Well Located.
Cons: Room Services could have been better. The hand napkins were not served in the room even after our intimation.
Location: Boating at Lake Pichola and Fatehsagar, Shopping at Hathi Pol, Visit to Garden of Saheliyon ki Badi, City Palace
Pleasing stay at the Hotel. Nice atmosphere and well located near the lake. We faced some problem during the check-in as out of our two rooms booked, one room was not ready even after an our of official check-in time. However, Overall experience was good. The hotel staff was good.

Nice property, forgettable service qualify

I stayed at Radisson udaipur for 3 nights this week, the property is very beautiful and rooms are very nice but the service is really bad, when we checked in the bathroom was not clean and missing towels. Had to call reception for towels and was promised it won't happen again. But the next day same thing the room was cleaning but the towels were replaced in the bathroom. Had to call the house keeping everyday for basic room eminities. The room service was good but the staff was not courteous and often felt they didn't want to work. Didn't expect this from a five star hotel.

Bad management, except in F&B

Pros: The only thing good about this hotel is the food and beverage department. Excellent buffet, courteus & helpful staff, prompt room service.
Cons: Pretty much everything else. I don't blame the people, this is clearly a management problem. Radisson ought to be ashamed of the way this hotel is run
Location: Hotel location is close to central Udaipur.
My wife and I arrived at 8pm, and no one helped us with the luggage even though there were several people standing around. We had to start wheeling the bags from the cab across the cobbled courtyard before someone thought to help us. It took too long (about 15 minutes) to check in. When we were taken to our room, the room wouldn't open even though the key card showed green, and it needed several tries to get it right. We asked the person who accompanied us to get this fixed and he said he would, but this never happened - throughout our stay we had to play with the door multiple times just to get in. The room had no washcloths or hand towels, just two bath towels. When we called the "service desk" for hand towels and extra body lotion, after a long wait we were delivered soap and shampoo but no body lotion and no hand towels. Lack of towels remained a problem throughout our stay (two nights) - we were told by the housekeeping staff, who all mean well, that they were not given the "necessities" by the management and didn't have the towels on hand. We had to call the service desk multiple times for many things that we would normally take for granted even in a 3 or 4 star hotel. They would always answer "yes, sir" and "done, sir" without even waiting to hear the full request, and then either not deliver or deliver the wrong thing. I was quite happy to check out and move on.

Where should I start? Check-in took about 30-40 minutes, where the hotel staff very rudely questioned us about our paperwork. Then they proceeded to give us a down graded room. When we questioned them about it, we just got the hotel staff laughing in our face showing us the worst room in comparison. The amenities in this room are a joke! The shower had no water pressure and we took cold showers all three days. There was no hair dryer, and the iron, the tv, alarm clock and outlets didn't work. The service is an even bigger joke. When the staff cleaned our room, they left us with 1 bath towel and face towel (did I mention there was an extra bed in the room?). Upon asking for more towels (3 times) they were delivered to our room 45 minutes later. Don't even bother dialing 0 for assistance, either they won't answer your call or the phone will stop working. Your best bet is to stick your head out the door and flag down someone in the hallway to get anything done. I will never reccomend a Radisson to anyone ever in my life and I will never stay at a Radisson ever again.

well located hotel

A well located hotel overlooking the fatehsagar lake is let down with a building which needs renovation and shoddy service. food was just about ok but thats just about it. Is no where near a 5 star. A very poorly run property. Toilets did not work properly and the shower was just a trickle

The property was fantastic and well maintained. Staff was very efficient and courteous. Breakfast was elaborate and very good. Excellent value for money.

Room Service and basic amenities in room was pathetic. The hotel cant accommodate many guests at a single point in time which results in poor service. My over all experience was not at all good.

Bad Experience

We booked 2 rooms for a day in July, other then our 2 rooms the Hotel was booked for some Wedding, and it made our Hotel experience really bad. NO one to serve you, NO restaurant open, NO spa, NO Buffet Breakfast, No dustbins in room, no cleanliness in Hotel, Wedding party food left over in every corner .Pool open till 7:00 evening only, indoor games till 7 :00 PM only. They should have not taken normal booking if they were booked for wedding............it was the worst experience I ever had with any star Hotel It looked more like (Raddisson Dharamshala) rather thn a hotel. It was not at all value for money & I won't recommend it to anyone.
