Picture perfect paradise beckons from this fantastic coastal home located on a protected cove in the Galveston Bay. The Cove House is newly renovated with a modern, clean design to provide the ultimate getaway retreat for your staycation, celebration, family getaway, or corporate event.

The home sleeps 12 guests comfortably with four serene private rooms (one king and three queens) and a spacious bunk room with two queen over queen bunk beds. There are 8 mattresses total, for a maximum of 16 guests.

The second-story living space offers relaxing views of the calm bay from the living room, a cozy library nook, media room, dining space, and adjacent spacious kitchen. This open floorplan space was designed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for entertaining guests or kicking up your feet to enjoy a movie on the media room’s 60” TV. The state-of-the-art kitchen is sure to inspire creativity when preparing home-cooked meals or gathering for a quick snack with a view at the gourmet central island.

The first-floor bunk room is the perfect place to hang out after a long day in the sun. The large space is set up with a TV, comfortable seating area, board games and table tennis to challenge friends and family!

Step out into your backyard to enjoy easy access to swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, boating, and sunbathing by the sea. We have bikes, 2 paddle boards, and a kayak for you to enjoy! Life jackets also available.

After a day on the bay, enjoying the waves at the beach, strolling down Pleasure Pier, dining at the island’s most delicious restaurants, and gallivanting around this lively beach town. After enjoying the island, retire to the Cove House for sunset views and refreshments on one of the three back patios overlooking the water.

The home includes free parking, initial supply of linens and towels, washer and dryer, smart TV, central air/heat, starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully-equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots, and pans, plus wireless internet service.

Here at The Cove House there is nothing more important to us than the health, safety, and experience of our guests and staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols in accordance with suggested practices from US and global health authorities. We're taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and are prepared for any guest concerns that may arise. We are closely monitoring all guidelines and communications from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and regional & national health authorities to update our best practices as the situation evolves.

The best home we have stayed at!
This property is everything the listing stated and more! We absolutely loved it! The home was clean upon arrival, had everything we needed (kitchen supplies, extra outdoor items such as balls, fishing rods, etc), and plenty of room for all our guests to feel comfortable. Very spacious and the fishing was amazing! We will definitely be booking here again!

This house was perfect for us with the adult teenagers with us, so them having a separate area work out beautifully. The location was great, neighbors were friendly - loved all the animals around that you could see/visit (with permission). The fishing was fantastic. What a great place to stay!
Our family had a FABULOUS time staying here. The home itself is beautiful with higher end furnishings, and plenty of room to accommodate our entire family. There were plenty of places to sit and socialize, and all of the beds were very comfortable. We had a lot of luck fishing off the pier at night. Lots and lots of trout and a couple of other types of fish, several of which were keepers! We would love to come back again some time in the future.

Beautiful home on the bay
This house was perfect and exactly as described. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The house was well equipped with everything you could need and we appreciated the extra touches like the hampers in all bedrooms, ice maker, games, books, and kitchen supplies. Our family included 13 of us over 4 generations and we never felt crowded. We could all spend time together or have room to spread out and enjoy quiet time. The beach was only a few minutes away. We would definitely recommend to other families and would stay again.

The property was great for my father's 80th birthday. The house is well decorated and spacious. The beds were very comfortable which I appreciate! We played yard games, hung out in the water, BBQ'd on the back patio and played lots of ping pong! I have already recommended the property to other family memebers!

Wonderful Family Retreat
This property provided the perfect weekend getaway for our multigenerational family. The photos and description are quite accurate. Upon arriving, it was very clean and at the perfect temperature. The beds were comfortable. The entire place was spacious for our group of 14, and the simplistic, modern decor was a welcomed change from the typical nautical/seashell decor of most Galveston rentals. The place is fully stocked with gear for activities for the whole family: kayak, paddle boards, bicycles, fishing gear, life vests, beach chairs and toys. The kids had a blast fishing on the private pier, playing ping pong and playing kickball in the side yard which has an awesome artificial turf. Bonus was the front row fireworks display we got from Moody Gardens on Saturday night . The only minor negatives were: there were no large sized frying pans (just a couple of small ones) which made cooking for a large group a little difficult; there were no scissors or kitchen shears (only a really old rusted pair); and communication was lacking- after booking the property and writing an introduction message to the property manager/owner, I never received any kind of message back as I usually do when booking properties. Then on the day of check-in, which is stated to be at 4pm, I still had no notification of how to access the property. I finally sent a message via VRBO at 3:30pm which got no response by the 4pm check-in time. I finally located a phone # of the property manager/owner and left a voicemail just after 5pm. I never got a call back, but I finally got a message via VRBO about 5:30pm with the instructions on how to access the property. Thankfully we weren’t standing at the door at 4pm with no way to get in, but had we been, this would have been all the more frustrating; I’ve never had to reach out to the property manager/owner the day of/post check-in time to gain access to a fully paid rental. Nonetheless, I still would recommend this property for all that it has to offer.

Awesome house for families!
We rented this property for a family vacation and it was perfect! The pictures online were very accurate. There was plenty of space for all 17 of us without ever feeling crowded. The outside space was just as amazing. My boys spent the majority of their time on the pier fishing and we all spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor space. The property was very clean and well stocked. Would definitely choose this property again!

Would have been perfect, except...
The home is beautiful, and well appointed. The layout is great and was perfect for our multi generational trip. However, once there we encounter two problems, one small and one major. There are no instruction for things like how to get the TVs and ice maker to work. These were small problems and could have easily been resolved. The big problem was there were roaches in the kitchen and upstairs living room. They we pretty bad in the kitchen. The biggest problem was that after calling twice and messaging the host twice, there was no response, no return phone call and message response. The TV and ice maker issue could have been handle with a call or message with instructions and the roach issue could have been handle while we were out. If those issues are taken care of and the communication improve, I would stay at Cove House again.

This house was perfect for a multi generation get together. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Plenty of seating inside and out. The amenities; especially the outdoor toys ( kayak, surf boards, etc) were a big hit. House was clean and well supplied. The view was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice, convenient getaway!
PROS: Very nice an well maintained property in a very convenient neighborhood. We were close store activities, grocery stores and easy directions for family to get to. Plenty of dish ware and cooking items to cook on a daily basis. We also made use of the kayak, ping pong table and games. My family loved the fishing! This was a top priority for them and it didn't fail. We were all able to hang out in the same location, while fishing, while playing, while eating...worked out perfectly! Neighbors were also super nice from what I can see. CONS (more like minor inconveniences): The ROKU downstairs did not work so had to use my phone to cast the games we were watching. Not enough parking and it rained so the extra parking down the street was flooded and muddy. Flies...beware of them. Bring something to control them. Grill was dirty. Overall great stay. We've been doing this family trip for 9 years now and this is probably the best house we've stayed in.

Beautifully decorated, quiet retreat. Perfect for multi generation family.
This house was just as listed, with an added bonus of beautiful interesting artwork on the walls. It was exceptionally clean and well formatted for our family of six adults and two children. This house would also have accommodated another family of four, who unfortunately couldn’t be with us. I didn’t realize that the bottom level actually has two queen bunkbeds that could sleep eight if needed. We fished off the dock, ate dinner every night on the outside dining deck and the ping pong players had fun. We really enjoyed the very large tv in the main living area. So many rentals have smaller TVs and this was a huge tv- very nice. Lots of seating in the living area was great. We liked that there was an ice maker and extra freezer for drinks,etc. About the only negative I could mention was that the kitchen might have more serving bowls or at least another larger salad bowl. It did have a generous amount of glassware , dishes and silverware. My entire family liked the quiet “tucked away” feeling of this location. After a very hot day doing island activities we enjoyed coming back to a cool quiet retreat where we could spread out and relax. This is a great multi family rental or a fabulous place for several couples to rent. Also, it has a great library of books that I so wished I could take advantage of! Maybe next time! Highly recommended!

Best Getaway Ever
We loved this house so much! It’s very beautiful and modern. The backyard goes right out onto the dock with a fishing pier that has tons of fish and a loading dock where we swam and used the kayak and paddle boards from the garage. Lots of bikes in garage. Lots of books. Lots of games. Communication with owner was quick and easy. Amazing owner. Amazing house.
