The property is beautiful and has a middle of the jungle feeling. The walking paths are nice and provide views of lots of different animals. The buffets available throughout the property are pretty good. The steak restaurant was really good. Now for the not so good. The Italian restaurant was not good at all. I really do think they need to reevaluate the menu and maybe hire an actual Italian chef, let’s just say the minestrone looked more like sopa de fideo and the lasagna didn’t have a tomato sauce , it was more of a creamy orange colored sauce with some tomato but definitely not a typical Italian sauce for lasagna. Now, housekeeping is probably what requires the most attention. We stayed for 6 nights, and most days housekeeping didn’t show up until mid to late afternoon to clean our room, plus they would only make the bed, take out the trash and that’s about it. We would leave our towels on the floor when we wanted replacements, they would take the towels on the ground but would not replace them, sometimes leaving us with only one towel in the entire room. The floors weren’t sweeper or mopped, being that there is sand on the property, we could tell the floors were ignored since the grains of sand were still there in the evening. Overall, the property is nice and the room was decent, but there are a few details that make me question if I’d stay here in the future or just explore other options.
