“Wife and I had a blast. Owner or maintenance of property management was awesome and open and responsive to our requests. Wife and I had a blast for a last minute quick getaway after some other plans fell through. Took a day trip to decorah and explored and gambled a bit at the casino near by. They have a website with other cabins might look to return again over the summer with my older college and high school kids as the cabin was huge for the two of us. “It was a second vacation for us in this property (7 years ago), nothing changed the train was the most worst part of our vacation. Not enough sheets for living room bed, we found only 1 fitted sheet and 1 pillow case. There were a lot of coffee, creamers and other stuff, towels and sheets were clean, plenty of shower stuff. Very ease and quick communication with the host. Thank you so much !”

“The cabin itself is super cute and had everything we could need. But "near the Mississippi River" is a very relative term and definitely does not mean "right next to/on." Not a huge deal for us...just a little disappointed no water view. If you love trains, this is a great spot!! Recommend doing the nearby Spook Cave boat tour...very unique experience unlike any typical boat tour we've ever done. Overall very relaxing stay. But be aware: the directions provided are not helpful. The cabin is...

“Beautiful setting right on the Upper Iowa River. Very private. Very clean. This was a girl's trip (5 of us) and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. We are already talking about coming back. The only issue we had was no railing on the steps going into the house (even though it was only a few steps) and railing only on one side of the steps going to the basement. We had a couple people with mobility issues and had to be very careful. We strongly suggest getting railings in those 2 places. One...
