“My wife and I stayed at the Eagle Street Retreat for 2 nights over the Total Eclipse weekend. Although the apartment was not ready a check-in time, the contact person with Heavenly Hosts apologized for the inconvenience and told us the cleaning crew was in their way. They arrived shortly after, also apologizing, but left some 45 minutes later leaving the unit spotless, which made my wife happy. And the manager refunded the cleaning fee. “We had a great stay here. Dinner was walking distance and had live music. We rented a boat at the marina and kids had a blast on the lake. Probably our favorite activity was fishing off docks (you can rent poles and worms from marina). My favorite part was sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. We had a great time, thanks for hosting our family.”

“This condo really deserves better housekeeping. Upon check in I had to dig back thru past emails to find the door code..it could have been much simpler by sending it in the day of arrival text. My first notice that the housekeeping was a miss was upon drying my hands on a hand towel that had food particles on it..the same red chile food stain was on the duvet in MB. Also fresh large carpet stains in the MB... The balcony could have been more appealing by a little sweeping and dusting off of...

“This cottage provided a peaceful and relaxing retreat. It was clean and had amenities as listed. It was too cool for us to use the pool, but we enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful wildflowers and basking in the quiet. We drove around many counties in the area visiting Fredericksburg, Dripping Springs, Kerrville, and Marble Falls. Enjoyed shopping, visiting wineries and distillery. One suggestion that my husband had was to move the bathroom mirror up 3 inches for taller folks....

“We booked 2 years ago in anticipation of the solar eclipse happening on our 35th anniversary. We looked for a place large enough that we could include our family for these significant events. The house worked perfectly for us and our 3 kids/families. Ages ranged from 16 months to almost 70. Plenty of room for comfort. Kitchen was very well equipped my only suggestion would be to add a basic Mr. Coffee pot (we brought our own) in addition to the Kureig—2 pots a day for 8 adults equates to a lot...
