"We stayed at Breakwater in October 2023 with two young families. The apartment is well stocked and worked well for two couples with three kids under 4. Luke was super accomodating and provided us with pack n plays and a high chair, and was also very responsive. "The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience."

"Immaculately clean, comfortable beds and conveniently located for those who don't want to be in the busy hub of Bar Harbor at night but want the close proximity to everything. Our family enjoyed the trails during the day, Bar Habor and for dinner (Blaze was great when you've reached your seafood limit), and the quiet atmosphere of the VRBO at night while roasting s'mores over the fire. Would definitely recommend."

"Our family of 5 loved our stay! Perfect location on Main Street, could walk to shop and drive into Acadia in 10 min. Hotel was super clean, delicious breakfast with gluten free options, and my kids loved a dip in the pool after a long day of hiking. "It is a nice place to stay in the middle price range to visit Acadia National Park. Breakfast is a good continental breakfast with plenty of options. Cookies by front desk are yummy. Approximately 5-7 minute drive to Acadia National Park, very convenient and it wasn’t super crowded when we were there. My only complaint to give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the a/c didn’t work great. "

"Quiet hotel with beautiful views. The staff was helpful and nice. It was nice to have complementary breakfast included and the options were great. I also like that there was a restaurant to have dinner at with great options and good food. I made a mistake and had 2 different bookings. I liked the main hotel and room and would stay there again. The other room was ok, but I would not chose to stay in the port side rooms again."
