Perfect location if you’re visiting Acadia. Staff was insanely nice as well as accommodating. Also, really neat and clean place all around.

In the city center, The Inn on Mount Desert is in an area with good shopping. St. Saviour's Church and West Street Historic District are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Acadia National Park and Village Green. Bar Harbor Whale Watching and Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf are also worth visiting.Visit our Bar Harbor travel guide
What did we like? It was open. Not many open this time of year in Bar Harbor or MDI. What did we not like? The Inn is an institution on the Island. No really, it felt like an institution. Despite efforts to be local (octapi everywhere as fixtures). But the place looked, felt and smelled generic, institutional. Big cold rooms, thin walls, buffet breakfast that looked and smelled barely edible. Everything on the cheap. Too bad, the Island deserves better.
