“This cute little cabin was just what my husband and I were needing! We booked for my birthday weekend and the cabin exceeded our expectations. It was cozy, quiet, and peaceful. We got to see turkeys, deer and listen to all the wildlife at night while enjoying a nice fire. The hosts, Linda and Doug were so welcoming and answered any questions we had. We definitely would recommend visiting this cabin and plan on returning for another amazing weekend in the future. ”

“We rented for a weekend, so we could get to know the local area. Sister Lakes is a nice area, consisting of several lakes, including Cable Lake (where the cabin is located). There were plenty of beds and the bathrooms and kitchen were well-updated. The screen porch was a perfect place to enjoy a time-appropriate beverage and the beautiful Cable Lake view. Easy check in and nicely stocked and furnished!”

“Everything was wonderful about the cottage. The only drawback is the lack of lake access. The public waterway is narrow and between two close houses. We didn’t feel comfortable using it. Otherwise it was very clean and nice. It is close to Roadside Beach on Lake Michigan so that was a bonus!”

“This was the perfect spot to get away. My wife and I spend a weekend every year at a little cabin where we review our marriage and refocus. We always like to explore the area and Dowagiac was a gem of an area to go. Sage was our contact and he checked on us multiple times. We had one issue with our bed and he was not only prompt but he made sure to make it right. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.”

“The cabin is so cute and perfect for parents and children. My twin boys are 8 and they loved the loft. Our bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. The huge porch was the highlight for us.”

“The property was everything we needed and more. The communication with the property managers was efficient and timely, the house was adorable, reliable, and quiet. We were staying out of town for a wedding and the rental provided everything we needed with the bonus of being near the water. Afforfable and definitely worth it. Highly recommend and definitely would go back again!”

“Overall the property was great. It was close to everything we wanted to do while in the area. The volleyball net made for fun games and the cabin had the right amount of seclusion.”

“Everyrhing was as described. My only issue was the heater was pretty loud & at one point woke me up at night. Other than that there were no complaints. Very clean excellent location”

“We had a great time while we were in the area loving all the FALL beautiful colors. We made a trip to the lighthouses in St. Joseph, the carousel, and shopping downtown St. Joseph!! We visited the Old Rugged Cross Church too!! If you want a great local Michigan beer, check out Sister Lake Brewing Co.!! Sage’s place was beautiful, and comfortable! Clean too… perfect tv’s to catch the Ohio State Game. There is a Keurig for morning coffee, and coffee provided. ”

“Adorable!! Cute town, nice people, great accommodations. The only downside was that we were unaware the property was pet-friendly and there was a LOT of dog hair in the cottage, in the corners, all over the fabric sofa in living room and even woven into the bed sheets (not just the bedspread, but the actual sheets) we had to wash the linens before use, but no big deal, we love animals, we just weren't expecting the animal hair to be left behind. All in all though, phenomenal property & great...

“Nice getaway, designed for outdoor social, not very good for inside social, but we headed out to have good times with a quick game and a couple meals inside. Needs a tv in the small social area, could be on a small table. Could use a deep clean top to bottom but mostly it was clean and safe.”

“We love the house and the back yard. The house was very clean and tidy and also adorable. Also, there were beach towels and beach chairs which was fantastic! We certainly used them on the beach. We were in town for a wedding and it was a very comfortable place for us to stay and easy access to where we needed to be.”
