What I expected. Great site. Nice breakfast.

Convenient, Comfortable Airport Hotel

I was impressed with how fast the airport shuttle picked me up. The staff was uniformly helpful and pleasant and I got there late at night so it was especially appreciated as I was tired and cranky! An older hotel but clean and well maintained. I would definitely go back.

Great Price!

If you go with a blindfold on you’ll be just fine. The rooms are clean and very elegant. The outside of the hotel is extremely outdated. The grass and landscape was not cut or kept up. Over all the hotel experience was great, but I would not recommend this hotel for the great atmosphere.

Poor Cleaning Staff

Cleaning staff failed repeatedly to clean my room in my last 3 days at this hotel. Have to call requesting service more than 3 times. The last cleaning lady did a bad job cleaning and on top of that let the dirty towels at the entrance of my room. Had to call the Front Desk to remove them. This is a Radisson...I expected more!

There was a sewage overflow on the sidewalk leading to exterior stairwell; a man sitting on the stairway drinking beer for long periods of time and baby spiders in our room. I was not satisfied.

Great Service

After reading some of the other reviews, I was still a little unsure about this hotel ... but the package price was unbeatable. I’m really glad that I went ahead and booked. The staff was great and the rooms were nice. Some people complained about the hotel being away from everything, but our stay was fine. We managed to find plenty of places within a mile or so. I would definitely book here again.

Poor sound insulation--2 sleepless nights

I stayed 3 nights here in June during a non-graduation, non-busy time in the area. The hotel seemed nearly empty but to my irritation I was put directly next to other guests with adjoining doors between the rooms. the sound insulation was horrendous. I was so bummed to be kept awake by loud TVs on my vacation!

I was pleasantly suprised with the cost and quality of my stay.

The rooms look to be renovated and were great. The beds were fantastic and the air was quiet and peaceful. If I were in the area again, I would stay there my next trip.

perfect Triangle Location

Very nice (quiet) hotel to stay at. Very accessible to interstate and the equidistant to Durham, Chapel Hill and Airport. It is a bit older on the outside, but the inside is fabulous. The rooms are first class. Will most likely stay there on further visits.

Excellent Customer Service

The staff is wonderful. It’s not the fanciest hotel I’ve stayed in but their service riveled the Ritz! We arrived late (after the kitchen closed, but the manager on-duty went into the kitchen and prepared a pizza for us. Nothing spectacular, I know, but above and beyond his duty. Everyone was VERY Nice. I kept saying the "I’m not moving to North Carolina" :-) but their hospitality made me consider it just for a minute :-).

Good value in the Raleigh area

The only problem with this hotel was the cramped quarters in the bathroom....I think this was because they wanted to make the bedroom as large as they could! Overall a good place to stay, with clean and well maintained rooms and lobby. It was convenient to reach from the interstate - I’ll be back!

Good price, average stay

Decision was based on price only. Room was OK, clean and the beds were above average comfortable.

Met My Needs

I stayed at the hotel for business one week. The hotel room was great w/ plenty of room and a small refrigerator, which I think is essential for traveling. I didn’t use too many of the amenities at the hotel, except for the treadmills in their fitness room. The fitness room was very tiny, but luckily I was the only one in there. The treadmill was loud too... like it needed the track re-adjusted, but I switched to the other machine and everything was good. The location of this hotel was great too.... right off route 40 so convenient to most locations.

Stay elsewhere

Nice pool, decent breakfast. That’s about it for the good comments. Very difficult to find even with a GPS nav unit. I actually turned around when I didn’t see the hotel, then thought the nav unit couldn’t be that wrong, and finally found a sign. Musty smell everywhere with massive amounts of air freshener in an attempt to overcome it. Room had someone’s beer in the fridge and water glasses in the bathroom were not cleaned after the prior guests use. Complained to the manager and they tried to make things right by buying our breakfast. Good move, but when we got back to the room at the end of the day, the fridge had still not been cleaned out. Just made me wonder how many other shortcuts the housekeeping staff was taking. Bed was just OK. Wasn’t a horrible stay, but I will not stay here again on another trip to Durham/RTP.

Great deal

Although the external design of the hotel looks a bit dated, its inside is very clean and contemporary. Our room was extremely comfortable, with internet access, plenty of space, & a Sleep Number bed. As an added bonus, the hotel’s lunch buffet was outstanding! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Be sure to rent a car! There’s not much of anything within the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Hotel was nice but needs a total rehaul

I liked the hotel. It was alright since i was just visiting my girlfriend but it seems like the hotel needs to be completely remodeled. It seems like its stuck in the 70s. I am only basing this upon the lobby and the room. The design of the hotel is quite unique. Bottomline, the hotel was just a place for me to stay for the night. Nothing great nor completley bad to talk about. it was basically just m’eh.

I can’t complain for the price

My rating on service would ideally be split out. I was unhappy that we didn’t get the room type requested, but the front desk lady comped us a breakfast for one morning. While it was too late to get us the correct room; she did what she could to make it right, so I’d rate her more highly. Housekeeping is another story, though. My complaint with them wasn’t the cleanliness of the room, rather their level of service. If, say, you go down to breakfast and leave the Do Not Disturb sign on while you’re down there eating, expect to find a paper slid under your door telling you to call the front desk if you want your room cleaned. Really? You don’t check back again? The other complaint is that one of the Sleepnumber beds was broken. We just didn’t use that one (the bright spot to us having one more bed than requested). I did enjoy the breakfast.

Traveler's tip on dining

The immediate area is largely a business park / office buildings type area. There’s plenty of stuff a short drive away, just don’t expect to find food or a gas station within a short walk.

Convenient with Fading Grandeur

The lobby and dining area look fabulous. Beautiful flowers & shrubbery. Internet convenient.Staff was helpful almost to a fault. But this 40-year-old motel is showing its age. Vehicular approach over rough pavement; bad first impressions. Small bathroom. Slow and clogged drains. A lot of grout repair. Other furnishings adequate. Service excellent. The price was right through Expedia.

Traveler's tip

Avoid a problem by asking to be lodged away from any weekend wedding parties. This one was loud; security was called twice after 2am. Asking to be on the other end of the building would have solved this problem. This location chosen for family proximity and entertainment accessed by I-40. Former locals, we are familiar with: great shopping, tremendous bookstores & restaurants; university ambience. We would return to the Radisson.

Nice stay on the way to Florida

Hotel is clean and stuff is very friendly.

Very secluded

Hotel was clean and neat. Although breakfast ended promply at 11:00 there are many local restaurants where you can have a brunch. I will plan future stays there. Although there was no gym, there is a great walking path for outdoor enthusiasts.

Excelllent Hotel and good value

This Hotel is in the Research Triangle and caters to business. The price and location works well for a weekend stay in the Raleigh area. Good restaurant,helpful staff and airport pick-up.

hotel was nice room was very clean but tub stoped up and had to change rooms.and the ac unit was not working very good
