Harrahs is Very Nice

Had stayed in Vegas a few times before, never at Harrah’s. Good room rate. Location is right in the middle of the Strip. Car Port is in the rear of the building, wish more casinos were like that. As a result, it is easy to walk in and out of the place, it is right up against the sidewalk, need not take a long hike just to get to the entrance. Rooms were clean and comfortable, a bargain for the price. Would definitely recommend to others and we definitely plan to stay there again on future Vegas trips.

Red Rock Canyon, definitely worth the drive to see.

Not Going Back

Vagas was unseasonably cold. The hotel was unreasonably cold. Hotel needs to be updated. Small room, poorly appointed. No "extras".

best location and comfort

From the moment that we checked in, the staff was courteous and friendly. The location of Harrah’s put us within walk distance of most of the newer casinos and attractions. There was a city bus stop only a block away so travel from the far end of the Strip to Fremont St was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. My wife and I had no complaints at all about our stay !!

will go back

I only stayed 1 night, but the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The location was right in the middle of the strip and convenient to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was free! I did not eat in the hotel (it had nothing to do with quality). I would go there again.

Pleasantly Surprised!

Harrah’s is a great hotel, not ritzy, but very nice. Right in the middle of everything. Service at the hotel was tops! Buffets were great, but other food areas overpriced. Right next to Denny, Outback, Panda Express, and cheap tickets for shows booth. Really central to everything there. Entire package by EXpedia was excellent: parking at airport, airline tickets, hotels and shuttles. Really great. Would recommend all my friends to go to Harrahs!

Go in October or November, not unbearable heat, but still quite warm!

"Can’t wait to go back"

I love everything about staying at Harrah’s. It’s in a central location of the strip, the hotel staff are courteous, and the rooms are clean. It also offers free valet parking service. It has great restaurants and the buffets are awesome. It also provides a free shuttle to the Rio Casino, and you can purchase tickets and catch the monorail from right inside the hotel. It is right across the straight from Caesar’s, and within walking distance to most of the major casinos. We plan to return on Superbowl weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

Upon check-in I was given plenty of discount food coupons to use at Harrah’s "sister’ properties on the strip.

Harrah’s is the place to stay in Vegas

Harrah’s is smack dab in the middle of the Strip. It’s convenient, and we were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. All Casino hotels look the same when you walk in, but the quality of the rooms really makes a difference. Couldn’t beat the Expedia price either.

Birthday Celebration

Awesome location on the strip!!! Buffet was nice...Fresh food and CLEAN!!! The food pricing is a little high for the other restaurants......everywhere in Vegas. It would have been nice to grab a salad or sandwich for under $10.00!!! The steakhouse was FANTASTIC!!!

Expect to pay $$$$$ no matter where you eat in Vegas.

Very nice hotel and friedndly staff, fitness center excellent but exspensive

The hotel was in the heart of Las Vegas and is a tram stop location making getting around easy. The food in the hotels buffets was very good and a good value. The only thing I was a bit put off by was the $50 dollar 3 day pass for the fitness center at the hotel. The fitness center was nice and had very good modern equipment despite the high fee for entrance.

Take advantage of the tram service cabs are very exspensive. Use the shuttle service to and from the airport provided by Expedia it was on time and gets you to the terminal asap.

Satisfied

An older hotel with no real wow factor. In Vegas, though, you don’t spend too much time in the room, so we were satisfied. If you like your morning coffee, you’ll have to go toward the lobby Starbucks because there is none in the room. Not disappointed. Chose the hotel because of location and the comedy show within. A pleasant experience.

Harrah’s - Great Location

We stayed at Harrah’s Friday thru Friday. We had a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor. In the middle of the week they were smoking in the room next to us and it smelled terrible. Our "room with a view of the strip" barely looked down on the strip (another Harrah’s building was right in front of us. I expected the "Luxury Delux" room to be bigger and the Mini Bar is a JOKE. A littler over $3.00 per bottle of water, the fridge has detection like pads in it so you can’t put anything in it and if you even lift anything out to see what it is you are automatically charged for it. If you want to use it as a fridge it’s $50.00 and I didn’t ask if it was per day or for the length of your stay. I saw lots of people bring in coolers. Didn’t take long to figure out why! No coffee pots or microwaves in the room so each day you are forced to spend over $10.00 to go get it yourself or $15.00 of have room service bring it. I prefer to have my 1st cup while taking my shower and getting dressed. For what we paid, they could have done better. When we go back (it was our first trip) we will probably stay off the strip, spend less and have more amenities.

Do not rent a car unless you are going to travel away from the city. Traffic is horrible, especially at night. The duece and monorail are the way to go. once you have "seen the strip" the monorail is quick, clean, affordable and no crowds! if siteseeing to Grand Canyon, etc. the first time I recommend using a tour company. Scenic/Paplion were great to work with. We booked Hoover Dam thru the hotel and it could have been better. Tour company was not so knowledgeable, poor planning.

Good hotel, good location

I thought it was a good hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. My only issue was that the bathroom was pretty small, and I got an upgraded room with supposedly more room than the "standard". It was crowded to be in there with another person when getting ready to go out on the strip, my blow dryer fell into the toilet off the counter as the two are maybe 8 inches apart and the wall plug is also right there. Everybody was very nice except the bellhop holding our luggage on the day we were leaving, he was very rude! I would stay again, we were on the 15th floor with a great view, and it is a pretty good location on the strip without staying at one of the fancier, pricy hotels. the hotel buffet was very good, we did not eat there for dinner but the breakfast was excellent, the cafe on the other hand was pretty bad. When I go back to Vegas I will stay here again.

Nice Place

This was a nice place to stay in Las Vegas. The room was clean, but had two queen beds rather than the king size promised (no king size were "made up" when we checked in).

It was ok

Overall it was a good stay. Room service was very polite and helpful. It was my Mom’s 80th birthday and the staff was helpful in getting a birthday cake. The only problem we had was there was no coffee pot in the room. I had called and ask if there were coffee pots and they told me all I had to do is ask for one. When I ask for one, they said I would have to upgrade to another room to get a coffee pot. I guess they didn’t lie, they just didn’t tell the whole truth about that.

Improved

Seemed more calming this time. Very good layout for all the activities and eateries. We enjoyed our stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We just enoyed seeing the new casino’s and some of the beautiful decorations and designs. Couldn’t imagine each one so unique.
