GREAT PLACE TO STAY NEAR DALLAS!!!!

This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Very clean, very quiet and comfortable bed.

Nicely remodeled rooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Hot tub and pool very relaxing. Well maintained and a good price and location.

we enjoyed our stay at the southfork hotel in Plano tx even though it was under renovation all staff was very nice and helpful especially fixing our door that would not lock i would stay there again and recomend this hotel to anyone.

We were very impressed with the hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great location for us, we were attending a conference at the Plano Convention Center and it was quick and easy to get to. We would love to stay there again.

Perfect Texas atmostsphere!

Beautiful decorations help you know that you are in Texas. Rooms are clean and nice. Had some issues with the card key slot and had to move rooms, but the maitence staff was very polite, and the front desk staff was not as polite. The fresh cookies in the afternoon were a treat!

Great value!

Hotel was close to a freeway exit - although we missed it the first time because the hotel sign was hidden by trees. Public transportation (train) within 4 blocks was very convenient. Hot cookies at the front desk in the afternoon was a nice treat! Nice chair for reading in the room. Although, reading in bed was hard due to poor lighting. Free transportation to Southfork Ranch and free tour nice (wouldn’t have wasted my money for the tour otherwise). We enjoyed our stay very much.

Allen Outlet Mall just a few miles away; farmers market just a few blocks away; nice park 4 blocks away; restaurants nearby.

Without any doubts, this is the best bang for your buck in the Dallas/Plano area!

This is, without a doubt, the best bang for your buck in the Dallas/Plano area. Rooms are large, with comfortable beds - wonderful service, great resturant, bar area and meeting rooms. I have attended three tax seminars over the last three years and stayed at the Southfork each time and the service is just as great this last time as it was the first time! I’ll go back in a heart-beat.

Large and comfortable meeting rooms with excellent food service. Also, be sure to bring your family - the Southfork Ranch is close by and is worth the visit, especially for those who remember the TV show "Dallas". JR is alive and well at Southfork!

A MUST PLACE TO STAY

This was one of the beat hotels i have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and very helpful

Did the job

We checked in at after 11 p.m. and checked out early in the morning, so we weren’t there very long. The room was clean and nice. It was a bed and a shower.

Good Value

This is our second stay at this hotel and it accomodations are good. Don’t expect to be able to get a headache cure in the middle of the night. Staff hard to find late.

Friendly, easy check-in. The room was clean but the sheets are a very STIFF, uncomfortable material. I needed additional bath towels and washcloths and called with that request at 10:00 PM. Upon awakening and still needing the towels and washcloths I was forced to call again with the same request.......They were brought to the room within 5 minutes. Breakfast was highly overpriced. Overall I was satisfied with those asterisks mentioned

One of the best beds we ever slept in

An extemely comfortable stay in this clean and attractively appointed hotel. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in...and we have been more than around the block. The front desk was helpful, quick and kind. How many hotels greet you with a warm plate of cookies that were delicious and complimentary!! Did not eat in the restaurant, but it looked nice. (we had other plans) Did have an evening glass of wine in the bar. Very quiet for a Friday night,but a pleasant ambience with comforatable tables and overstuffed sofas. Only complaint we had was that the tub drain was slow and we showered in ankle deep water. The desk was appreciative to hear of the complaint and responded. Saw some others who took advantage of the outside pool which looked clean and inviting. It was open to 10 PM. Unfortunately we could not take the time to enjoy it. Next time. And since we have family in the Dallas area, we will take advantage of this wonderful hotel next time.

We used the complimentary tickets to Southfork ranch and were pleasantly suprised at what a nice attraction this was for us and our aged parents.

Terrible experience, staff not helpful

This hotel was 12% occupied the night we stayed here (I know cause I saw the occupancy statement when I checked out). There are three to four wings to the hotel. We were place in a room very close to the adjacent freeway. The freeway noise made it almost impossible to sleep. The front desk stated there were no other rooms available to move us to. The TV worked intermittantly after banging on it. There was no coffee for the coffee maker. Parking lot poorly lit. The ad says they have a Lagoon style pool - don’t believe it. Don’t stay here unless you want poor service and freeway noise all nigth.

Dark and Dreary Suite

The hotel is renovated but the colors are very dark and kind of depressing. Even the hallways are this way. Very small TV for a suite. All in all the service was good and the staff was knowledgeable of the area around the hotel. Very close to lots of restaurants and things to do, so it would be good for families I suppose. Not good for a honeymoon or girls night out. It’s just not a feel good hotel..

The resturant in the hotel is pricey so venture out. There tons of good eating places close by that are reasonable and good....

Always a Pleasure

We have stayed here before but this was our first time in one of the newly remodeled rooms. I loved the hotel before remodeling but the new bathroom features and linens are so beautiful. I really felt the new designs fit with the Southfork theme so well. Great hotel!

great hotel can’t wait to come back

We really enjoyed our stay everyone was very friendly and answered any questions that we had the service for the shuttle was very pleasant to and from the South Fork Ranch The people at the front desk alway’s had a smile and their face and to me that is one of the things that makes me want to come back. The waitress and waiters were alway’s on their toe’s to get you more coffee or what ever you needed, we will be back soon to a place that really make’s you feel like you are home, we really can’t express ourself enough on how much everyone was great and friendly can’t ask for anything any better. We love you all for allowing us the honor to stay at your place of home. See you soon at your house.

There are lots of restaurants in the area for just about anyone taste. There is a lot of shopping in and around the area.

The Sothfork was clean, conenient and reasonably priced. The meeting rooms were just right for our tournament event.

The Southfork hosted our tounament, and the Friday night events were held there. We were close to the Southfork ranch where they held the Saturday events.

This is the 3rd trip to this hotel in as many years and it is still an enjoyable trip to stay there..

I would stay again

Very clean, good service. Its on the interstate so ther is easy access but the trafic is loud. Nice rooms. Ther restraunt could have been better but it was ok.
