"The staff were very nice and welcoming. The view of the lake from the front porch was beautiful. The staff took us on a pontoon boat of the lake which was relaxing and allowed us to see how calm and peaceful the lake is. I would recommend staying there."

"The room was just as nice as pictured. It was very nice and clean-- which was quite a relief as we arrived late evening and were quite tired. The after-hours check-in process was easy and convenient."

"The stay was fine. There is no on site staff, but there is a helpful young man if help is needed to get into the room. Quite rustic, and it does need to have some maintenance work done. If you're older, know that the stairs have a higher rise per step than is standard, so you may want to get a room on the first floor rather than the second."

"The property was beautiful but the ac in the room kept us up all night, every time it would kick on it made a horrible noise. The room was comfortable otherwise and it was nice to have a balcony. I will say, we did not complain/mention the noice from the ac but I’m sure they would have been more than helpful if we did. The breakfast was a little unexpected, it’s just cereal bars and food you have to heat up yourself so we did not really enjoy that. The stay itself was okay."

"We were in town for a wedding. Exceptional welcoming from Brandy. She even provided us with a book of things/places to go and handwritten personal recommendations. Grounds are gorgeous! Peaceful and right on the water. Fire pits, picnic tables and seats to simply relax right outside of your room/patio. The room was clean and loved the cabin decor. Only downside was the lack of hot water. You have every bit of 20 minutes before it’s a cold plunge lol. Gas station and Burger King a 2 min walk across the road. We left some items and Brandy immediately called us while we were still in the area. Overall, I would 100% stay here again. Can’t wait to return and bring friends/ family"

"I wish there was an option to select 6 stars! This treehouse was such a special place to stay, and we didn’t want to leave. My son actually got emotional when it was time to go — I think that says everything!The porch swing and fire pit were definite highlights, and the creative troll-finding hike through the woods was a huge hit with the kids. We also really appreciated all of the thoughtful little notes throughout the house. Those personal touches made the stay feel even more welcoming and special.It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating this experience. We made some great memories here and would absolutely love to come back!"

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Owls Nest. The house is very small but perfect for couples or a family with small children. It was very private and quiet. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, and dock for kayaking and swimming. The owners were very nice and responsive to questions. We would love to come back!"
The Lodges at Sunset Village

"Overall, a comfortable stay for a couple of days. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable (a king) and shower/bathroom very good. The kitchenette did not have a cook top (and we knew that when we reserved), but the microwave was adequate for our short stay. The setting is very pleasant, and views of the lake were a treat when we were out walking the dog. Recommend with caveats below. Shortcomings: the Wi-Fi was slow when our next-door neighbors were around; cable TV connection was spotty, activating easily at times and refusing to boot up at others. If we had been staying longer, we might have sought some extra help from the staff on these issues."
