“We enjoyed the spacious room, the eclectic decorating and comfort of the lobby and the breakfast at the Hotel Des Lux. We stayed on a quiet holiday night so would be interested to observe the hotel on a night with greater occupancy. On Locust St the right curb lane offers signage for temporary check-in parking, but to me and my car and I felt exposed to regular traffic on Locust. Could the city of Des Moines construct a bump out to more isolate that curb lane? ”

“They are currently remodeling the outside of the motel. The room was as nice or nicer than hotels twice the price. ”

“Awesome place for a large group! My dance team stayed here and loved it. Would definitely recommend! Lots of great amenities and plenty of room to hang out. They even had it decorated for Christmas which we loved!”
