“Good quality, clean, nice entry lounge with coffee, tea, and water.”

“Interesting and pretty location on the river. Only complaint was loud people above us. But for the price it was lovely.”

“Cabin in the woods....what more could you ask. It was quiet and in a beautiful setting. Food in the restaurant was standard bar food but it was hot and tasty. Bar staff was courteous and efficient, even when tasked with a rowdy party of about 20 people. They were loud but respectful and the staff took it in stride. Only spent one night in our travels through the area but would stay again.”

“This little apartment was perfect for a little weekend getaway! The air conditioning was great and the view was amazing! The house is old and so are most of its appliances, but I think it just adds character! There is a unit above you, which isn’t really a problem, but you can hear their footsteps. Other than that, it was fabulous!”

“Great stay, great host”

“Great stay!”

“There’s a lot of bad things I could say about this cabin. But the worst thing was (the wiring). I was worried the cabin would catch on fire. Some of the light fixtures were loose in the walls. Especially the kitchen. We did not use the hot tub. We were informed that if water was spilled out it would trip the electric breaker box.”

“This was a clean, comfortable, and affordable property in a beautiful part of West Virginia. The host was very responsive and helpful. Small amenities like coffee and some snacks were thoughtfully included and much appreciated after a long day hiking.”

“The house layout was excellent and the pictures really do show the interior space correctly. The neighbors are close but it's a quiet neighborhood. The hot tub and the sauna was an unexpected bonus! If there is a downside to list it would be the grill. We were aware it was charcoal but it was a little small and difficult to cook on but we are also not charcoal masters.”

“We absolutely love this little place!!Reminds us of Grandmas house from years past. Check-in and information was great.John has been very responsive to questions. There is a good size yard for walking our dogs.We will be staying here again in the future.”

“This was in a great location and the stay was very clean. Parking was easy, and there was plenty to do nearby. Had a great stay!”

“It’s not fancy, but if you’re looking for an affordable, convenient place to use as a base for visiting New River Gorge, this worked well for us. Clean, good communication with owner. 15 minute drive to the bridge, restaurants, gas, etc.”

“This house was perfect for our large family. The game room is fun, the location on the river is sublime, and the access to hiking, white water rafting, and Fayettville is convenient. As a bonus, the mattresses are in good shape so we slept well!”

“Absolutely beautiful home! The host has kept the property in pristine, like-new condition, and I found myself wanting to stay inside just to take in all the thoughtful details. Everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well organized. The home had the perfect amount of amenities, and the information provided about the surrounding area was incredibly helpful. If you’re considering staying here, I would absolutely recommend it! Overall, we had a wonderful trip, and the home itself was……

“This property is beautiful! Definitely large enough space for nine adults. The hot tub was a requirement for our group and did not disappoint. The only complaint would be having no cell service or strong enough wifi when needed. Thank you so much for having us!! - The Gueltig Crew”
