"The property is very unique. It is off of a dirt road and I would suggest initially getting there while there is daylight. There are multiple steps to this room (located in the Castle building of the property), therefore it is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. The dipping pool was not filled at the time of our stay. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the shower temperature and pressure were a bit difficult to regulate but it seems the tub is better...

"The hotel was having plumbing issues, and there was no hot water. When we informed the front desk at checkout, they said that they were aware, and it was going to be fixed. I wish that they had informed us when we checked in or offered some compensation acknowledging that there was no hot water. We still had to pay full price for the room."

"Took too long to check in on Friday night, there should have been more than one person checking in guests on a busy weekend. Staff was lacking throughout our stay. I did not see one housekeeper the entire weekend. Our room was adequate, but there was black mold around the shower, products on the wall were half empty, a dog toy under the bed (which indicates a lack of attention to vacuuming), and most of the USB outlets did not work. I booked two rooms, one of which had a strong urine smell and very dirty towels. There was a lack of seating Saturday morning at breakfast, and the food was not very good. Plastic looking omelets, dried out sausage, fruit salad that did not look fresh, flimsy plastic utensils. The bagels were the only thing that was decent. All this for a premium price. The location was convenient, that was about it. My husband and I (and our friends) are frequent travelers, I do not think we would stay here again."

"The place is beautiful and the staff is really nice. Many of the activities were not available when I was there, yet I was still charged for the activity fee. I was in the area on family business, so that did not affect me personally, but had I been there for recreation, I would have been very disappointed. There is also no housekeeping service in your room. When I complained that the coffee maker did not work, I was told it would be replaced, but that never happened."
