This property is a current work in progress...I hope. The room was stellar and redone VERY well. The rooms was clean and staff were kind and helpful. There are a few areas that still need to be redone (e.g., the ground floor walk way to elevator looks like a trap house, and elevator sounds like it it’s pleading for oil/lubrication.). The let down was the pool. If you are looking at the pictures of the pool that extends from inside to outdoors—I have some bad news for you. They filled in the outdoor pool and walled it off. I assume this is to make the pool accessible year round—but in my opinion a MAJOR let down for a summer stay. The pool was packed every day and without the airflow from outside felt very humid and the pool felt like lukewarm soup. Overall the hotel has received a much needed facelift. You can see what they want it to be. Just not sure it’s quite there yet. The biggest upgrades they need to make are the ground floor entrance to elevator, the elevator itself and maybe build out some windows in the pool area to give it some airflow. Will be back next summer!
