Location was very good; room was clean but the bed was very hard; bathroom arrangement was terrible and there were repairs that were done poorly, i.e., wall with a patch on a wall that was not repainted and poorly installed tub with no plug for the drain, door to bathroom was like a farm style sliding door with no lock; very pleased with the quiet air-conditioner; short on bath towels, only two bath towels for a room with two people; no bathroom towel rack or hook to hang clothing; breakfast was a bit skimpy. Overall, everything was very clean and was quiet. Staff was very responsive and friendly. I will probably stay there again if they have a room that has a bathroom door that can be locked and not just slid closed.

I read previous reviews that talked about noises, creaking of the wood floors, and how you can hear everything through the walls. Please keep in mind this is an AUTHENTIC 1800'S HOTEL. The owners have definitely did a very good job at preserving that authenticity. I stayed in room 4, the children's room. I opened the drawer and found a white noise machine ( along with a headless bride doll) that i utilized during my stay. I was the only one there (i think) until about 11pm. I slept like a baby and probably snored like a lumber jack and my apologies to the other guest. Beds were very comfy , the air was cold, and the shower was perfect,. Even though they were communal, they were still provided privacy. Overall a wonderful experience. I will say that the website mentioned a small staff to which I personally never saw, and the breakfast consisted of granola bars and instant grits so if your not a fan of those, bring your own. They have an impressive full kitchen there you can utilize.. I also loved the outdoor spaces there for sitting.
