A pier with covered pavilions and telescopes extends from this picturesque coastal boulevard stretching along a sandy strand.
Visit the Beach Walk to take a leisurely stroll along this scenic meandering promenade in the resort area of Clearwater. The walk is lined by white sand beaches and clear water on one side and palm trees, accommodations and stores on the other. Come to this lively spot to cycle or in-line skate or simply watch people go by.
Stop for something to eat or drink at one of the restaurants and cafés across the street from the Beach Walk. Admire the views of the sandy strand as you eat. Browse the range of shops along the walk, including quaint, family-owned boutiques.
You can also wander down to the white, sandy beach and rent lounge chairs and umbrellas for the afternoon to enjoy Florida’s year-round pleasant weather. The beach here is known for the abundance of tiny, beautiful shells found in the sand. Note that you can walk along the shore barefoot, as the tiny shells are unobtrusive.
If you’re feeling active, go for a jog along the path, enjoying picturesque vistas of the ocean. Bring a board and join the surfers on the waves of the bay. Wander out along Pier 60 and enter its bait house, where you can purchase souvenirs, snacks and T-shirts. Continue along the pier and use the row of telescopes for views extending to the horizon.
For a land-based activity, bring your family for a game of mini-golf at Captain Bligh’s Landing. Its pirate theme includes caves, a parrot and a wooden ship.
The Beach Walk meanders along the narrow strip of land off the coast of Clearwater, in Florida. It is in the Clearwater Beach district stretching to Coral Resort. Drive west from the heart of Clearwater and cross Clearwater Bay via the Causeway Bridge to get here.
Travel around the area to visit other nearby attractions such as the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Chapel-by-the-Sea.
