“Ironclad was a wonderful place right in Fredericksburg, close to the town and restaurants. Our room was on the 2nd floor, no elevators, but it was okay. Sadly, the Bourbon room was closed, but the staff was ice enough to let us go down and look at the room. Very cool, would stay again!”

From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel very welcome and even accommodated an early check-in for all three of our rooms, which we really appreciated. “The building has been left to practically crumble, the concrete stairs going to the second floor cracked and uneven, the pillars outside have huge rust holes at the base, the basketball hoop hanging sideways, the pool clearly closed because they don't bother to clean or maintain it. House cleaning never bothered to clean our room and I found a roach in the bathroom. We checked out a day early after that. “Room number 12 smells bad from cigarette smoke. There was no soap in the room. The walls were paper thin. Other than that it was a cheap motel that was okay to get enough sleep to keep driving again. No better than a 5/10 idk what these other reviews are talking about.”
