Honestly, a tourist trap. Yes, the beach water is clear, and the sand is nice, however if you happen to go during the weekend (I went on a Sunday), you will be bombarded by locals trying to sell you everything from a pack of gum to hats and lounge chairs/cabanas. I couldn't enjoy myself here as I was constantly surrounded by sales people every 5 steps who will literally FOLLOW you trying to sell you things. On top of that the beach was super crowded, a little sketchy so I couldn't really leave your stuff on the sand to get in the water. I recommend going during the week, only bring what you need, and bring snacks as the food here consist of decent fish but shit shrimp and dry plantains.

The native people there are extremely violent with the tourist Expedia has and should stop recommending this trip, tourist will risk their lives going there. They threaten people. They have gangsters waiting for the bus or cars with tourist so they can force them to give them money in exchange for them to get out of there alive. Do not recommend going in water either. Playa Blanca is not a safe place for tourist to go visit at all.

Too many vendors. Hire a taxi for 240,000 pesos for the day and the driver will take care of your belongings while you swim.  Do not leave anything unattended, unless you don’t want it anymore. 
