Overpriced

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Maybe I am unaware of the quality of European style hotels but I will say for nearly 600 a night this was simply an ornate hotel with no extras. No coffee in room really? Again my expectations for a $600 room is far higher than what we got. Forget about the drink at the bar, again $25 for a simple Cosmo. They made it sound like it was the best around.. sorry wasn't impressed as this wasn't an alchemist at hand but a simple concoction. I was afraid to get a coffee in fear that would be $15 a cup. If you have money to waste, this is place for you. I will say the room was a decent size but again at $600 I was hoping it wouldn't be on the smaller end as some other hotels in NYC. Can't comment on their food as I thought the cost of the oatmeal was crazy (think it was close to $12) Pool and old cartoons playing in elevator were actually the best part of this place. Sorry will actually opt for the atmosphere of a boutique hotel nearby which many seemed to have more service and personality than the Le Parker!

Pros: The location, the amenities, the prompt service, the quality of the room.
Cons: I have no suggestions for improvement as everything was pleasant.
Location: I saw Central Park and many restaurants and shops nearby, but I did not have time to visit them. It was close to various businesses as well.
This hotel has all amenities you could possibly need whether you are traveling for business (as I was) or for pleasure. The location in Manhattan was very convenient. Room service was expensive (but this is NYC after all), but prompt. Food was good but not great. Room was very nice, comfortable and easy to work in. View was great. All staff were friendly and helpful. I could hear my neighbors during the night (crying child and revelers returning from a night out), but I think that's pretty hard to avoid in a hotel. Check in and check out were a breeze. I didn't know that twin beds were an option, so that surprised me. It didn't matter since I was traveling alone. But the website did not make that clear.

Great stay in New York City

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: This hotel was central in a nice part of the city. Really close to subway and Central Park. The pool on the top is very cool. And the best shower!
Cons: Turn the fridge onto cool in the room and the room was a bit warm. Couldn't adjust the temperature.
Location: Subway, eating and the MarketPlace is very handy and got some great selections when too tired to go out.
Visited for 4th July extended weekend and our experience was more than fabulous. We jammed everything into 3 days that included, WTC, Helicopter ride, Time Square, Ride around Central Park, Empire State, Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Great room except for thermostat/AC

Posted May 16, 2017 on Hotels
Everything was great except for the air conditioning in the room - I set the thermostat to 66 because it was so warm and the temp never really improved. Slept with just a sheet on. Otherwise a great experience.
