Very quaint cabin with lake view
The cabin was very cute and perfect for a weekend stay. Unfortunately 30 mins after we arrived we found out the local marina had an explosion so we were not able to get the boat we had reserved. No one’s fault and we feel so bad for those impacted. But not being able to boat we left after just staying one night and did not use many of the cabin’s amenities. I hope the marina recovers and we can come back some other time because we have heard great things about the lake.

Nice Cottage
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a large deck with a nice view of the lake. The kitchen has all of the cooking supplies we needed and plenty of spices. We parked our boat trailer in one driveway and two cars in the other. It is about 10 mins to Sunset Marina. The cottage pictures are accurate and communication with Jon was easy. I would stay here again when we visit Dale Hollow.

Great place to stay
The property was wonderful. It is well appointed, as described, comfortable, quiet, and ideally located with a nice view and easy access to the marina, gas, restaurants and stores. Will stay here again next year.

Perfect Lake House
The house was very cozy but had plenty of room for our friend group. It’s very close to the marina and has beautiful views. The host was very communicative and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a lake trip!

Lake House
We had a wonderful time. Two days of fishing, which were great, playing cards, grilling. House was cleaned, well located, and had an abundance of things to do. We really had a good time. Thank you Jon for your kindness.

Great weekend getaway!
We had a great time at Dale Hollow Lake!! The cabin was very clean and comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with any and every appliance you would need! The back porch was our favorite, included a fire pit table and a beautiful view of the lake! Jon was an awesome host and answered any and all questions we had. Would definitely stay there again !

Amazing Dale Hollow View!!
It’s has some really nice beach house color and decor. We have stayed in several VRBO’s in this price range since Covid hit but this one was by far the best bang for the buck of any since it started! Owner was extremely responsive and even dropped off new bulbs for the porch within a few hours of the storm taking a couple porch lights out! 10 out of 10 must try again!

Plenty of Charm!
Everything was just perfect - exactly as pictured. The view was stunning -we loved all the beautiful birds and watching the sunset over the lake. The whole home is beyond comfortable from sofas to the beds. The porch is large with a wonderful grill. Kitchen well appointed. My summary is the we can't wait to go back! Just lovely!

So yes here I am writing reviews because I really loved the place and best part your host is so flexible to communicate. I am not that person who easily give reviews but here I must say this is very pretty house with the perfect lake view. 5-6 people house they say but you can easily adjust upto 9-10 people . While you do the bbq you can enjoy your lake view. And well managed property. Clean and beautiful . Must say not too big property but it’s still beautiful and perfect

Dale Hollow
The property was very convenient for lake access, about a 10 min drive with a grocery store and a few restaurants nearby as well. The home was exceptionally well stocked with misc things like spices, plenty of towels, etc. The deck was pretty dirty, not as represented in the photos gorgeous view and it is the mountains. There is nowhere that is walkable nearby as the roads are very narrow and there is significant local traffic so just be mindful if you need to walk pets. The host made check in and out very simple. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for the feedback, Serena. So good to hear you would consider a return visit! As a long distance owner of Happy Hollow Cottage, I am not always aware of items that need attention at the cottage. The deck is being power washed and stained this week. The rural neighborhood is normally very quiet and lightly traveled so the many small roads winding all through it usually are ideal for walking a dog. Your advice to be mindful of possible additional traffic in peak summer season is an excellent one. BJ

Just Adorable
Really enjoyed our time at the cabin, so much better than camping - especially when it rains, but close enough for boating at the marina. We spent much of our down time on the porch enjoying the scenery.

Very nice stay for vacation
We enjoyed our stay for a week vacation on Dale Hollow. It was an easy commute to the boat @ the marina. The roads are in good shape, but do beware of animals on the roads (We saw, dogs, deer & a cow). The cabin was very comfortable and worked extremely well for our group of 4 for the week.

nice house love the decorating and layout! would love to see before pictures. this place truly felt like home. the kitchen was so well stocked and the interior was beautiful and cozy. while the birds where lovely out on the deck, we truly enjoyed them. overall the outside area needed attention.

beautiful and peaceful
Great little cottage, well furnished and equipped, not a thing lacking. Wonderful deck with a view of the lake and birdfeeders which attract an amazing variety of birds. Beautiful neighborhood for walking with my favorite 4 legged companion. I appreciate so much any landlords that allow dogs!

Great Getaway
The property was great! Short ten minute drive to Sunset Marina. Comfy beds and the house was so clean! It had everything we needed inside. Our favorite thing was back deck with a spectacular view of Dale Hollow Lake.

A relaxing retreat with a view.
We enjoyed our stay at Dale Hollow. BJ was very accommodating during the booking and check-in process. The cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived. The neighbors were friendly but mainly kept to themselves. The exterior of the property was rustic but that’s what we wanted. The cottage offers a quiet retreat with beautiful views. We didn’t really prepare meals while we were there but all the amenities were there if we had the need. We will be back.

I do hope you will return; very soon The ByrdHouse across the street will also be ready to rent. A very restful, quiet , comfortable stay.
Out of all the VBRO properties we have stayed in, this was top of the list, a very quiet, peaceful, comfortable setting. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything one would have forgotten for baking or meal prep. The beds were excellent and very comfortable. We were not lacking in anything we needed for comfort. with very clean and well stocked bathrooms The view of the lake was beautiful from the comfortable deck. Bird seed was available to feed the many birds that came to entertain us. We enjoyed the use of the gas grill for one of our meals. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all !

Very Peaceful, Great View, Perfect Stay!
Could not have had a better stay. The home was GREAT! very well kept, clean, well supplied and LOADS of charm and character. The bed was very comfortable. The deck was where we spent most of our time and it was absolutely wonderful. Lots of birds - including hummers. Very peaceful in the morning with coffee and perfect sunset at night with a glass of wine or cocoa. Great view of the lake, deck is private. Owner was very easy to talk with and check-in was easy. The home is an open concept with high ceilings - which was great! wonderful decor with emphasis on birds and other animals. Very comfortable. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't stay longer!!!! WE WILL BE BACK!! Would love to see the fall color changes!

If I could leave 100 stars on this review I would!! Communication with the host was perfect, the location and view was amazing, the cottage is spectacular! The view can't be beat!
My family and I loved this house. We genuinely enjoyed out stay. Beds are very comfy. Kitchen had everything you need plus some extras, spices, flour, sugar, coffee. The oven and stove top were wonderful, boils a pot of water in less than 10 minutes. Fully stocked laundry too. It's decorated really cute. I only have a few negatives. The first and biggest, it needs a good deep clean. It's superficially clean but the floors needed sweeping(lots of hair) and the kitchen could be wiped down better. The second the carpet needs changing, it's seen better days. The master bathroom's shower doesn't drain well. Ms. Hilton is quick to respond and very accomodating. Other than the minor things mentioned it was perfect and I'll book it again.

Thank you, Myra, for your compliments and your suggestions. Summers are always “hard” on on the cottage with the constant stream of guests who often bring their pets along. Housekeepers do their best to have many homes in the area ready on time and deep cleans, unfortunately, have to wait til later in the year. You will be glad to know that the carpet in the bedroom is on my schedule to replace next winter and we’ll take care of that slow drain immediately. Always good to hear from the guest what needs attention so that we do what we can, when we can, to keep the cottage in good shape. You and your family were great guests and I welcome you back anytime! BJ

Amazing Oasis
Our stay was amazing. We were both blown away by the property for the price. The view was incredible, and the attention to detail within the home was terrific. BJ was a lovely host and a great communicator. We would recommend without hestitation.

Lovely Cottage at the Lake
This home is very nicely decorated and feels quite homey. It has all of the amenities that a family needs, including a fully equipped kitchen. The appliances are in great shape. We enjoyed the seeds the owner provided for birds and critters. The deck is quite large and has a great view. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings!

This little cottage was just what we needed to get away for a few days. It had every amenity we needed, it was quiet and comfortable, with an amazing view of the lake. TN Get away
We loved the location, it was great with only minutes away from Sunset Marina. We rented a slip for our boat during the stay and made it so easy to get on the water with no hassle and we were able to enjoy great meals at the cottage. It was the best of both worlds and plan on going back next year
