“Upon entering the room I smelled a strong smell of urine. I immediately started looking for another hotel online, but they were all booked up. My husband suggested getting air freshener but that would just cover up the filth. I walked to the gas station and got a bottle of 409 and paper towels. I cleaned the floor by the toilet and my towel came up BLACK. I proceeded to clean the entire floor and it apparently hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. The smell improved but not much. I have never……

“Owners were super helpful and friendly. Nice to see a hotel owned by white people who actually care about your stay. Room was clean. Dated, but clean. Nice to be out of the really busy area but still close to the Main Street vendors.”

“Good location, helpful staff and a unique fire place. Coffee maker was a Hamilton beach, they could use a more consistent working unit. Unfortunately, the wall AC units, though they work well also drowned out the sound of the surf I was hoping to hear. The surf at Cyucous is smaller and doesn’t make the louder noise you can hear at Moro Bay or Pismo. Still, enjoyed our stay.”
