The African American woman (front desk person) was very helpful and was extremely polite and hospitable. Being that I was a solo female traveler, She did not announce my floor or room number. She discretely gave me my key. I greatly appreciated that. She was also helpful with giving me directions. The hotel could use a little upgrade. Although I got a non-smoking room, I could smell cigarette smoke in my room and the hallway. The hotel is within walking distance from the Inner Harbor and many attractions, but there seems to be a good amount of homeless people in the area.

We booked this hotel for a one-night stay because of its convenient location near the Spanish Embassy, but it far exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive, and our corner room comfortably accommodated four adults without feeling cramped. We enjoyed the nice views, modern décor, and high-quality beds, linens, pillows, and towels.  Our only minor complaint was that the rain shower pressure was a bit weak. However, the highlight of our stay was dinner at the hotel restaurant, a.kitchen+bar, which offered exceptional food and value from a James Beard Award-winning restaurant. As hotel guests, we received 10% off our meal plus an additional $42 Expedia credit. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Washington, DC.

It is a beautiful property and the rooms are really nice and spacious. Location is great. One elevator out of two has been out of service for a while. Our room never got serviced during the day despite leaving a message to do so, at the front desk in the morning. We were delayed in arriving by a day due to flight cancellations, but the property manager refused to refund one night's charges. It is a wonderful property and I wish we received better service, so that I could give it 5 stars.
