Wee gem in the wilderness

Pros: Cleanliness and friendliness of staff
Cons: Better signage , providing directions to reach hotel.
When booking was under the impression that hotel was closer to an urban centre, a little difficult to find, and located in what appeared to be in an area far from prosperous, but he hotel itself and its staff were fabulous, great rest, immaculately clean, and quiet.

Very pleasant

Pros: Comfort and cleanliness
Cons: TV system
Location: There are no restaurants. We got a pizza (very good) at the Marathon Station.
The hotel is off the beaten path but was very nice. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was we had 3 rooms. 1st room was great! 2nd room TV did not work and had to be moved to another room. 2nd room, TV did not work, moved to another room. That room reeked of smoke, moved to another. That TV did not work, moved to another which was great. Staff member apologize and told us they had just had a new TV system installed. Overall we were pleased and would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

Nice place to rest

This is a hidden hotel, by the mountains. The room was clean and comfy. The mattress needs replacement soon, but overall it's pretty decent considering there's no much around.

A little remote but very clean!

This hotel is nice and clean and the price was right! It is a little off the beaten path but a neat place to explore if you have a little time.

Clean, comfortable, and new!

This is a wonderful motel, very clean and new! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room and our bed was comfortable, and the room has all the conveniences. The coffee pot was especially nice, and there is quick and dependable wifi. There is no breakfast included. We drove about 15 minutes to a Biscuit World. The motel is about 10-15 minutes away from 64, and there are many restaurant chains there.

Disappointed

18 rooms in a "town" of 300. To far to go to Charleston for dinner. If you want quiet and nothing to do, stay here. Staff was nice. Seems most guests work for railroad. How it got 4 plus stars and great reviews I will never know. Hotels.com price was more than they typically charge. If you like a view of the trailer park, this is for you. Area itself is pretty

Nice, clean, inexpensive hotel in the country

We stayed two nights here on a leisurely trip from Houston, TX to central Virginia. We wanted to see some of West Virginia and, since we had already spent quite a bit on hotels and such, we were looking for a bargain. We got one! I was surprised at how new and clean this hotel was. It is 13+ miles from the interstate (17 minutes in daylight) and really in the middle of nowhere. But that was fine with us and the room was clean, comfortable and cool. The staff were helpful. The first room they put us in smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (a real problem at lower rent hotels these days). But they switched us to another room promptly and it was fine. There's not much to do in the immediate vicinity. There's a diner in the Marathon gas station, but we didn't try it. Note: You turn into the Marathon's parking lot to get to the hotel, which is behind the Exxon station. Friendly folks at the Exxon also.
