"Check in was quick and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Mattress and pillows were comfy. Bathroom was clean and shower had lots of hot water. I was on the ground floor facing the parking lot but I didn't hear any noise or commotion outside. Slept great both nights so this is on my short list of hotels in Roanoke so I will be back. Thank you to all of the staff for what they provide for their guests."

"I chose this hotel because I was traveling with 2 dogs. Unlike many hotels, I was charged a flat fee of $25 per night to cover checking in with pets. That I liked. Downside: my room, #101, had a foul odor that hit me each time I opened its door. Reminded me of the smell of spraying done by a cat I owned decades ago. On the morning of my departure, #105 down the hall had its door open after being vacated, so I stepped into it and sniffed. No foul odor. So it was just my room that stank. I also didn’t like the relatively short opening time for breakfast: 7-9 am (in comparison the Hampton Inns where I found a much more reasonable timeframe of 6 AM to 10 AM for breakfast, which accommodates both those who need to leave early and travelers who’ve checked in after 11 pm and may not be up & ready to eat breakfast at 8:30.). I’ll probably not check into a La Quinta in the future unless there is no better option."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. A special appreciation for Rebecca, she checked us in Friday night and was excellent. The only downside was tge alarm went off several times Friday night and Saturday night. Not sure if someone was smoking but it was annoying and interrupted our rest."

"The room was impeccably clean and decorated. Loved the lobby filled with history. The shower was hot and Water pressure was amazing. However, my only concern was the bottom of the tub was slick, suggesting that rubber duckie adhesive would be nice. The balcony was great too, me and my husband sat on the balcony for a while taking in the view. We would be coming back, bringing our grand children next time. And if you’re a dirt race fan, there’s a track nearby totally worth watching. Sadly we didn’t get a chance to have dinner or drinks on the premises but the menu looked pretty good."
