Your stay at The Cottage on the Bluff will be the highlight of your Orcas Island experience! This charming home is separate from the other Deer Harbor Cottages, perfect for those who want a little more privacy. Enjoy a lovely view of Deer Harbor, a handmade log bed, and log furnishings. The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, stovetop, toaster oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Outside, there are two decks facing Deer Harbor, with a four-person hot tub on the upper deck overlooking the Olympic Peninsula. The wildlife is abundant here, with deer, eagles, and hawks calling this property home.

This cottage enjoys a great location, with beautiful views of Deer Harbor, the Olympic Mountains, and the Lagoon. The historic Deer Harbor Inn Restaurant is a short stroll across the property. The stunning landscapes of Moran State Park are 14 miles east, with the always-quiet Obstruction Pass State Park six miles beyond. Deer Harbor Reserve and Marina are only half a mile south as well.

Close to perfect
Great property. Had some issues getting towels and service to some issues we had. When a guest tells you the window a/c unit stopped working, don’t respond with a screen shot of UNIT HAS NO A/C doesn’t go with the picture of the unit I sent you back. It was poor that after you ask if we want another night and then call for another night extra night do discount was given. You guys were very difficult to communicate with. The refrigerator stopped working and we lost over $100 in food!

Truly is a charming cabin
Excellent location by Deer Harbor Inn. Steps away from a nice BBQ restaurant. Family friendly. Games on the lawn. The pictures of the property are accurate. It is a very charming cabin perfect for a small group. Within easy walking distance to the harbor. True, you are not in Eastsound but it’s a small island so it doesn’t take long to get there. If you are looking for a little peace and quiet on your island getaway this is it. And the view from the deck can’t be beat.

Great little studio with a Great view.
Cute and simple little cabin. Had everything we needed for a vacation. The Tv has Roku so it made it simple to watch movies. The hot tub worked great and you can sit and watch the sunset or stare at the stars from inside it. The best part about this cabin is Matthew's smokehouse restaurant that is a 1 min walk from the front door.

cute cottage
The cottage was actually larger than I thought it would be. It fit me, my husband, two kids and our dog just fine. Even though I called and double checked, there were no linens for the futon. But when I contacted Lukas, he sent someone within the hour to deliver the linens. Overall, a nice stay. The restaurant across the grass was very popular, we didn't get a chance to try since they sold out of food by 5:30pm!

Cute cabin, good location, but not clean at all
We got to the cabin and it was a beautiful area! Pretty quiet and private. However, upon arrival, we noticed that it had not been cleaned at all. The fridge smelled like rotten food, there were ants, the blankets hadn’t been laundered, and there was dust caked on the lamps. Overall, if the cabin had been cleaned, we would have loved the stay.

Lovely view, a few minor challenges
Great view and comfortable bed. Very small kicthen setup, but we got a lot of take out. Propane fireplace was set to go to 80 in the middle of the night, but we figured out how to go manual after that. A couple things could be fixed: ants, dirt and leaves in hot tub, running toilet, and incorrect sign about check out time (discovered when housekeeping arrived early/not early). Garden crew did several loud hours of weed whacking while we tried to take care of some daytime work needs. I guess there were more challenges than I thought, now that I’m writing this. None ruined our experience though. We enjoyed our stay.
