“The hotel is lovely. We arrived to find we had been upgraded from the snug to a double bedroom with a view which was lovely. But disappointed not to have a bath even after an upgrade though. There are a lot of stairs to get anywhere, which was fine but worth noting. There is access to the lake outside via a path and some stairs which is lovely. The spa was great but as they are doing some work on it the outside bit wasn't available. This was fine as we were alerted to this, but there were also……

"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the room was not very pleasant—it felt quite outdated and wasn’t as clean as expected, with noticeable spider webs. In addition, it was quite noisy in the morning, which made it difficult to rest properly. On a more positive note, the restaurant staff were excellent. They were very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. Overall, while the staff made a good impression, the condition of the room and the noise levels could really use improvement."
