“The stork hotel/pub was perfect for our first trip away with our puppy. The staff were friendly and welcoming the meals in the evening were lovely. The only complaint we have was breakfast took over an hr to arrive after we mentioned to them we were still waiting for it & a waitress apologised claiming that it was all her fault. When it did arrive the sausages were dried up the bacon was overdone & the fried eggs were hard. Apart from that everything else was great.”

“Room itself fine but newly fitted shower tray flooded bathroom - Room service poor as 3 different menus give 3 different times this is available and a 4 Star hotel stopping room service at 8.00pm???? Wnen cold sandwiches came with chips quality was v poor - drie out bread a scraping of butter and over-fried oily chips - definitely not a 4 Star hotel - younger bar tender needs training on customer service and attitude. Housekeeping staff and receptionist great.”

“From the moment we arrived till we checked out this hotel delivered. Lovely welcome on arrival, spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, handy fridge, sofa. Delicious buffet breakfast. My preferred eggs were not in the buffet but asked and they were provided no problem. Evening meal was delicious too. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities were great. You pay £10 for use of the facilities. Well worth it. Loved the heated beds. Plenty treatments on offer too. Take £1 coin for the……

“The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. My partner sampled the local beer and was pleased he did. Although a full breakfast was on offer we just had a yoghurt & some toast. The toast……
